Re: OEM Nissan windshield/ back window seals part numbers?

Thanks Robin, I should have known that. I used there no trim gaskets on my last restoration. It was very nice. I have used the standard trim gaskets from them on a previous car The corners were not as tight holding the trim as I would have liked.

Re: OEM Nissan windshield/ back window seals part numbers?

Looks like the front 72610-A5500, is from 10/69 onward and would take the later trim. It superseded 72610-23100. I would love to find a 68 front seal. The rear also appears to be later. My catalogue doesn't give a superseded date but 79710-2100 replaced 79710-21002 I'd expect the earlier number is t...

Re: WTB: Datsun 510 Rear Door Handles

It's pretty easy to make new fronts work in the rear. Carefully grind out the pin holding the metal loop that hooks the latch. Then drill a hole, the right size in the right spot and install the pin and metal loop. You then have a nice new handle. Still available from Nissan.

Re: USA to Western Australia my two door 510 build

When I installed new latches in my son's car I had some trouble getting it to latch. I also tried to figure out if I had them installed correctly. It did latch but took more force than I thought it should. It was a bit scary. I just told my son to leave it. closed.

Re: Metric Fasteners

I have found Nissan still sells lots of fasteners for the 510. But I've waited weeks for them at times, and not cheap. You will need part number. Look them up in the online parts catalogue on Google drive. I google " 510 parts catalogue on Google drive " As well Fastenal will sell to walk ...

Re: Instrument panel voltage regulator

Maybe it's as easy as cleaning up the contact points where the gauges attach to the board and the board attaches to the back of the circuit board.. Cleaning all the contact point on these old circuit boards sure helps the lights.

Re: Stolen 510 from Vancouver

I bet it is. I know a few days ago it was not returned. Stephan had texted me to let me know that icbc had found no damage and it had been run out of gas. Oh but why is it not getting the flat tow. Still no respect even now that our little cars are the elders. Lol

These stub axles looks like the easiest was to get a newer LSD. If this guy has none as this is an old post I'm sure futofab sells them.

Hopefully the link works. Only $15 of the fee goes to parks. You would probably be better off sending Merlin the $40. Lol

Re: 280ZX Brake calipers sourcing problems

This should be a wake up call to everyone running zx struts. Just like stock 510 brake parts, zx stuff is going to disappear. So now is the time to pickup a set of rotors and a caliper rebuild kit at the least.
