Re: WTT: 510 New, never installed Eyebrow Trims for...

Just sold a pair on Facebook for $325 usd including shipping. Might have been able to get a little more. But at that price it took a few days. I used the page Datsun 510 (68-73) parts for sale. https://m.facebook.com/groups/1421692238052095
Mine were nos in the box but still with the factory rubber.

Re: Adjustable Rear Spring Perch

Re: Door Mounting and Alignment ???

I will agree and forgot to mention tapping the threads on the holes and bolts is important. I probably take doors off and on many times throughout a restoration. You should be able to thread them in by hand. And as there is no adjustment from hinge to door you could set the door early in the job and...

Re: Door Mounting and Alignment ???

I don't know if there is a trick. If the fender is loose and easily unbolts, I take it off. It's just in the way. You make the door fit the rocker and quarter panel. I like to have the hinges off the door. Bolt them to the car high and forward. It's the rocker I don't want to chip. And with the fend...

Re: The Bronze - '69er Resto Project and continuing build-up.

I'm hopeful my 2.3 lz is close enough that I can use what Byron uses for jetting for myself. I haven't dug into them too far as I am a bit over my head. But I saw 200 on something. Mine use ball and socket and rods like stock. I will probably get an idea of how to switch to cable at the show. This i...

Re: WTB - Rear Bearing Spacers for 510

You still haven't said if you want # 4 or #6 in your picture. If it's #4. You haven't said if you want A, B ,or C. B is quite common and you have been offered a pair of those. Clarity will help.
I am starting to think I'm getting old and grumpy. Lol
Good luck with your car.

Re: Pilkington Windshields - Easy and new Availability

My son Justin has ordered one shipped to Calgary. It came to $342 usd including shipping. So not cheap by any means. And he has yet to get it, so no idea of brokerage and fees. I'm pretty sure FedEx was an option So at least ups won't burn him. I hope is much better than Chinese. This will be over 2...

Datsport. I was surprised at how quickly I received parts from them. It pays to buy proven rubber.

Re: 5 speed hole cutting!

I just went from 5 speed to auto. The picture shows the large hole that includes the original 4 speed placement as well. So don't go that far forward. It looks like just making the auto hole a little wider would work. And about an inch forward. It looks to me like the middle hole parallel to the sea...

Re: electrical problem - fuse box

I was going to post the links position but as noted it's not the issue. Have you pulled the fuse box and looked underneath. If you get it out and it looks good dip it in white vinegar for a 5 minutes or so and rinse in hot water and dry it quickly. It will help with hidden corrosion. You might have ...
