Re: ka24 mounts for clearance???
I believe many, myself included, use the KA upper engine mounts and the 510 rubber isolaters. You could mock that up and see what sort of clearance that gives you? The 510 mounts bolt into the lower holes on the crossmember. I'd measure for ya but I'm away at school. (not my car) http://i899.photobu...

Re: My 72 build just starting
Yes, you can run those shorter inserts in a longer strut tube, you simply install a spacer at the bottom of the insert inside the strut tube, this will compensate for the difference in the insert length. Unless you are really going to slam the car to the ground, you don't need to shorten the struts...

Re: suspension questios
Some use the rear shocks from the 80's Camaro/Fire chicken. 280zx struts up front are the most common mod. You will need coilovers to go with zx struts or 510 perches welded onto the zx struts. The zx spring perch is too big to fit in the strut tower of a 510. Search for "280zx dime quarterly&q...

Turns out that when I log out I can see all the posts. This is strange..... After logging back in, the problem persists.
Possible issue due to being logged in from a bunch of locations?
Anyone else experienced this issue?

Re: Jordan's '72 2 door KA project
I have not seen those photos of DGR's rack set up I've been told it worked well but never drove around in a car with it. he also utilized the MR2 steering column bearing that goes through the fire wall cutting back the factory column back in order to get the angle closer to optimum 30Deg to prevent...

No posts exist inside this topic for the selected time frame
I keep receiving this error. "No posts exist inside this topic for the selected time frame."
I can run search and view the thumbnail results but I can't actually view the post. Same with nearly every thread; I can't access the posts on earlier pages.
Word?

Re: Jordan's '72 2 door KA project
Well today I got the clutch bled out properly. It works much better now. Bleeding the brakes or clutch by yourself isn't so bad if you have a proper sized stick... Gave the car a bath and took a couple pics outside. http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/ac197/kayakdude07/4E1CFF12-D136-4E5D-B1D6-2...

Racks.....
look at the AE86 inner tie rod ends. There is two types one for power one for manual one is longer than the other I am not sure at this time which one it is. They are smaller than the cressida but you will need to figure out an outer alternative to the 510 stuff though. Megan also makes one with 5m...

Re: Jordan's '72 2 door KA project
Thanks guys. We'll have to see how it performs out in the twisties. :D Just thinking about how much sweeter it would be to have a nice steering rack for those twisties.... For the meantime though it will stay a roller (and hopefully a driver) for the summer. Ran into a bit of an issue with...
