Re: Trim rear quarter windows, two door.
I will look to see if I still have some, I dismantled a 2-door and may have them. I also saved just about everything specific to the 2-door, including the B-pillar sheetmetal, thinking that maybe someone would like it for a conversion. Do you think that folks in Australia and NZ would be interested?...

Re: What did you do on your 510 today?
I pulled my trans, freed the clutch from the pressure plate, and put the trans back in... which was more than I thought I'd be able to accomplish. I feel pretty good about it.

Re: Stuck Clutch
Update: It warmed up to 36 today, so I took the trans out. It just wasn't possible for me to drive the car, so I did it the old-fashioned way. It motivated me to make a trans attachment for my jack, so that's a good thing. And I found a $4 Dorman clutch alignment tool in town (#14501) The clutch pla...

Stuck Clutch
My '72 wagon has a problem. The clutch does not disengage. It used to, but after sitting in a humid spot for a year or two, it doesn't. I confirmed that the slave is working. I tried starting it with the clutch in and the brakes on, to see if it would break free. No. Before I pull the trans, am I ov...

I can get you a picture of that fwd section. The inner wells have been removed. I still have them, but they'd need to be welded back together.

Inside. You can see most of the pinholes at the upper left. There's also pitting and one pinhole on the forward portion, opposite the ones shown. It's worth saving.

@Yenpit: exactly what I'm doing. Could use it all on a 4-door of mine, or may sell.

510 metal part-out in Western MT
I know that this is a long shot, but I have a '70 2-door that I am dismantling. If you have a request for a random bit of sheetmetal, brackets, etc please let me know. I'd love for some of it to be re-used, rather than scrapped. Most typical rusty areas were very rusty. floors, rockers, lower 1/4 pa...

Anything useful in an HL510 front susp?
I went looking at some local cars for sale and saw a pretty sad HL510. I'm sure it could be had for the cost of free, if I wanted it. Engine and trans were gone. Front susp design is similar, with a flipped-style x-member, similar arm/tension rod set-up, and steering box. Are any of these parts comp...

Re: Firewall Braking Flex. Something to take seriously.
The firewall is a spring. The softer the spring, the less Master piston travel there will be for a given leg effort. A tiny amount of travel lost equals a lot of pressure difference in a well set up system.
