720 4x4 front diff is long nose R180, bolt on to 510. European 720 2,5 diesel has 4.875 ratios.

Re: Brakes

Here in Finland i have not seen or heard 510's with front drums, i have 69 and 70 original 1300 cars but both are deluxe models with front discs and 4speed floor shift gearbox. Maybe standard versions had front drums but i think we did not got standards here.

Re: THE OLDEST 510

Dash and wipers are same than 1970 sedans, i think that van model came in 1970, it wasn't available earlier.
It is only spare parts car and full of stuff but here is pic from the deleted rear seat.

Re: New member, malaysia

In Europe this model was Datsun Violet A10 140J/160J, SSS version only coupe bodystyle. Engines was A14 and L16, SSS L16 twin carbs, and maybe latest versions had Z16.
Factory team rallycars have L20B with FIA head in GR.2 or LZ20 16V twin cams in GR.4.
FJ20 was not available at A10 Violet.

No, A87 was later.
I've never seen A87 head with original big ports like 219.

That A87 head is not original?, 1600SSS should have 219 head.

Re: FIA head questions for the gurus PLEASE HELP

Early FIA head has some different parts but i can't see nothing that good machine shop can't do. Valve stem dia is 9mm and valve guides od is 13mm vs. stock head 8/12mm, the 8mm valves can be used if valve guides is changed to 13/8mm. If valves changed to 8mm stem then also all valve stuff (retainer...
