Re: Joyce’s ‘71 521 Farm Truck

There are some threads on Ratsun.net on putting a 521 on a 720 frame... not quite plug and play (as you would expect). My 68 521 will get Miata front and rear suspension (but that project is a few more down the road). -m You should put the Miata suspension under one of your wagons so it drives less...

Re: Jordan's '72 2 door KA project

Yeah!!!!! The STI injectors are plug and play, also 550's and are half the price of the ford injectors. At least down here.

That Nylon compressor wheel doesn't like to be overboosted from what I've read. Sam almost got one for his SR20VET build.

Hr Jeff, why the dead weight in the passenger seat, that's your 1/2 second right there!
We get 12 runs that count towards a win, also I like to take people for rides, their reaction is great! I was over a second ahead of the next RWD car anyways :)

Re: Joyce’s ‘71 521 Farm Truck

I heard back in the day guys would cut the front of a disk brake truck off then carefully trim the suspension mounts away from the old frame and graft it onto there old disk brake trucks. I have the front of a late 620. The next 521 I get I’m going to go this route. Then you get ball joints, nice di...

Re: NANKANG AR-1 group buy

Thanks Keith, Reading the reviews people who have run the R888 and R888r were immediately faster on the AR1. I don’t buy it. The R888 and the R888r was so much different. Sounds like a blanket statement to me. I’m definitely going to have to get a set and see. No way they will work as good in the r...

Re: What did you do on your 510 today?

Got the SR dialed in. Turns out that my engine does not like vent-to-atmo BOVs, so I replumbed it to recirculate. Amazing difference. No SR's do, since the MAF reads air flow, then is dumped, ecu doesn't know so it sends in the right amount of fuel for the missing air. My buddies car would shoot fl...

Just let me know. The Tires would not be coming in till spring so there would be no risk of them freezing.

Is freezing bad? Maybe that's why my original r888 lost there grip. I drove them in the snow! haha.

Re: NANKANG AR-1 group buy

The R888 heated slower not working as well for autox and heat cycled way faster then the R888r. I am interested in trying them!! Have to see how my rear suspension install goes.

Re: NANKANG AR-1 group buy

Do they make 13's? I'd like to try them back to back with the R888r which I like a lot, the R's are even better then the R888. Since the thread wear is almost the same, maybe the Nankang's feel about the same? I wonder how well they work in the rain? The R888r's do pretty well. Got first in RWD and ...

Re: Headlight fix

I think, as Byron and I were going to change up my headlights, that ultimately a re-wire for the front was destined anyhow, so if it was the headlight switch, that would be an easy fix. I was talking to Rob not to long ago in regards to remaking the engine bay harness, since you could also redo the...

Re: Headlight fix

So we still don't know for sure though? It almost sounded like Rob was buying me dinner for a second there. :) I've never had any luck fixing the switches. They will work for a little while then fail again, it's like the contacts get beyond there intended life or something :) You should try and get ...

Re: Headlight fix

My money is on a failed relay. We betting a dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant? I've never seen the relay fail in a way high and lows both don't work. The way it's constructed the relay looses connection though the 87b side of the relay, the 87a side as far as I have seen doesn't have an iss...
