Re: "Hey" my daily driven race car!

Duke I'm thinking the only way I can make something happen with fancy belts is if I bolt in a belt bar for race days and take it back out. It's my daily driver, gotta be able to haul the kids :)

Re: "Hey" my daily driven race car!

New seat for my DD racecar!! Wow!! Took me two days after work of tinker to get the seat mounted. It's a tight fit, touches the tranny tunnel and the door just slightly, just the seat padding. It's nice and low and center on the steering wheel though!!!!!! http://i.imgur.com/xlHrOi3.jpg http://i.img...

Re: Scary times

I'm totally going to run 13's on my car as soon as we do the narrowed control arms. Keith our car doesn't look bad with big wheels. I think flares helps the look. RMS I have 13" watt's on my sunny with zx brakes. But the 13" Enkies I have won't fit. http://i.imgur.com/dOSWAA1.jpg http://i....

Re: Scary times

The shop was going to order the custom tires from an actual company like Toyo, or Yokahama. I'm going to bug them this year at SEMA You don't want 13's? I hate the way my car looks with 15's, looks tall and dorky. I love how frank's car used to look with his 13's they were 235's though. http://i.img...

Re: Scary times

I was talking with a shop a while back (can't remember the name) and from what they said you can get a custom run of any size tire you want for around 15k. We just need to get Dave at FutoFab to stock some 225 45 13 in the Yokahama tire we want.

Re: Narrowing rear control arms

That is a cool design! Sam and I talked about a similar style as well. For a 1 off it would be totally doable. As for making a production run affordable to the average Datsun dude may be tough. We need to figure out our goal suspension travel. IE trying to get the toe change to zero but what kinda c...

Re: Narrowing rear control arms

So here is a sneak peak at what we are building. Not only does it narrow the rear track but it also allows us to do some camber/toe progression changes. It's still in it's infancy, we haven't checking loads or figured out how exactly we are going to hook the heim joints to the main beam (Boswell Bea...

Re: has anyone ever seen this before?

Check it out! I was over at Dave Carroll's place with Carter, I thought "hey Dave may have seen the "2" on one of his cars" He said he can't recall any but he said lets look at my 73 two door, sure enough it had the "2"!!!!!! Here is a pic. Wish I knew what it meant. ht...

Blue with red stripe wire that goes to the wiper motor should have power.

Re: Sr20det install with steering cross link

Just leave it. I'd rather have it slightly rub when parking than trust someone welding my steering especially when it's not needed.

Re: has anyone ever seen this before?

Yeah it was original paint. I will say the front end wasn't welded together very straight worst out of any 510 I've seen actually. The left side is 1/4" off or so. I'll post a picture of it. Not sure if the stamp has anything to do with the assembly quality.

We are still working on the design. I'll post the prototype when we get it done.

Re: "Hey" my daily driven race car!

Great day at the track on Sunday!!!! Nice and warm and a super fun track layout. It was the first sunny day since I've gotten the R888's, although I do wish they would heat up faster wow what a difference the sun makes!!! I ended up winning RWD class and also having the fastest lap of the day!! I di...

Re: Narrowing rear control arms

Thanks guys! It looks to me they must all use the same stub axle, since they are all very similar lengths.
