Re: KKS Aluminum Radiators - Anyone Tried them?

we used the Champion rad in our enduro car. Worked fine but hit the L series pulley. Had to move the engine back as far as possible to get it to clear. I would imagine if this radiator is the same thickness you might run into that issue. The radiator required shims. it hit the sheet metal lip around...

Re: "Hey" my daily driven race car!

I would have given anything for power steering when I was racing! 9.5" x 2" of rubber contact on the road was a major arm work out to say the least, specially coupled with tons of castor. My AE86 was one of the best steering cars I have driven, not over boosted and a good bit of "force feedback" th...

Re: "Hey" my daily driven race car!

Well after having a power steering assist rack in my car for seriously years.... it's actually hooked up and working!   Yes!   At first I thought manual steering would be better for autox, more feedback which I thought would help car control.  After a buddy I raced with suggested I listen to the Con...

Re: the old stinky diff......

Very interesting chart! Haha. I think it’s a little vague. Since everyone’s throttle output is different the chart kinda makes me laugh. Same with gears, it will change the torque output through the diff. It would be fun to test all 3 back to back.

Re: the old stinky diff......

Well after collecting parts for more than a year I am finally going to get the new diff put together this week. R180 with 4.6 Datsun gear set and Cusco 1.5/2 way TYPE-RS Limited Slip Differential. The math says I should have about 59 to 61lb-ft of initial torque by how many springs I put in it. I a...

We recommend both with our rack setup. The bump is designed with 6.5 degress of caster.

Re: tire choices -- aggressive summer -VTO wheels - BS >>?

Don't know what to say..Norm expressed the SAME as I did, as have some others. They made my car UN-DRIVABLE, simple as that. Norm and I would be close in terms of where we actually use the tire, and that is CARRYING speed through a corner, where it is NOT POWER...but cornering GRIP. That is where w...

Re: tire choices -- aggressive summer -VTO wheels - BS >>?

Keith, Maybe it's the different amount of power?? Although Norms L is probably putting down the same power as my SR. I don't have that issue at all. When is Byron going to set up another autox so we can see the difference on a time sheet. I mean they feel flexy compared the my local go-carts but not...

Re: tire choices -- aggressive summer -VTO wheels - BS >>?

I like the R888r the best out of everything I've tired. Although I want to try the RE71r's they were out of stock last time I ordered tires. We run the Rivals on our enduro car with also feel nice. Way better then the Z3's. I just like how stiff the R888r sidewall is and they are pretty cheap. I dai...

Re: R200 LSD options/setup

Just as a passing note; when I installed my new Precision gear CLSD years ago- it sounded like a bag of hammers Out of the box. I seriously thought it was broken. After putting a few miles on it, and adding a bottle of GM LSD fluid, I found a parking lot that I could drive around in tight to tighte...

Re: Front short strut inserts whats available in 2019?

I just built some struts for my coupe with VW inserts on ZX struts. I cut 2" almost exactly out of the ZX struts. Your cut may very depending on the top nut.
