Re: has anyone ever seen this before?

Yeah it was original paint. I will say the front end wasn't welded together very straight worst out of any 510 I've seen actually. The left side is 1/4" off or so. I'll post a picture of it. Not sure if the stamp has anything to do with the assembly quality.

We are still working on the design. I'll post the prototype when we get it done.

Re: "Hey" my daily driven race car!

Great day at the track on Sunday!!!! Nice and warm and a super fun track layout. It was the first sunny day since I've gotten the R888's, although I do wish they would heat up faster wow what a difference the sun makes!!! I ended up winning RWD class and also having the fastest lap of the day!! I di...

Re: Narrowing rear control arms

Thanks guys! It looks to me they must all use the same stub axle, since they are all very similar lengths.

By chance can you guys measure the 3 bearing spacer types for me? Lets see if we can figure out if there is only 3 and if 3 are required.

Re: Noob build

So after a week of painful head scratching it FINALLY RUNS! Only for five seconds, then it dies, but that'll be dealt with later. A couple of problems I had: 1. Engine came without Ignition module - didn't realize it and when I sourced one I had spark. 2. Wiring diagram I used had the ECU BUP and E...

Re: "Hey" my daily driven race car!

I love racing!!!!! I know what you are thinking.... Why not put the S15 SR in this car and not the coupe. Although thats not a bad idea I feel I learn more about proper lines and the fastest route having a slightly underpowered car. I think I will build an all motor SR later but for now I have a gre...

Re: Chocolate covered circus peanut

Picked up the drive train for the coupe. Got it from Bill at Foreign Engines. It's a S15 SR20DET with 6 speed :) Figured since it's for the coupe I figured I better get the good one. Although it seems cool getting a front clip is more a pain than anything else. I'm going to put whats left of it on C...

http://i724.photobucket.com/albums/ww250/funwithmonkeys/Mobile%20Uploads/20170206_190406_zpsigdyt8qd.jpg I had the same issue. I remounted my TC rod under the LCA with an aluminum spacer about an inch thick. Now my suspension bottoms out before it hits. Just barely though. I have the super tall bum...

Narrowing rear control arms

Sam and I are going to make some narrowed rear control arms. We haven't nailed down a design yet, if anyone has any ideas they would like to share we are all ears. They are going to be 2" narrower per side. We want to retain the original control arm bushings and bolt pattern for the drum brakes...
