Keith your fuel switch panel reminds me of stuff I would see at the Boeing surplus store. I sure miss those days!

Re: Chocolate covered circus peanut

update!  Zero stink (okay still the smell of baby oil slightly from the smoke machine) wow I wish I would have known how to fix this 20 years ago.  Such a nicer car to drive.  I have a cut up quarter panel in the back yard.  Here is a picture of where the stink access the cabin.  You can see the cut...

Re: 3D Printing Thread - Look What I 3D Printed

We got a resin printer at work. For testing I drew up a Datsun Roadster heater control switch knob. Black is the OG one. The orange is version 1 clear is the latest version. I later printed it in black but that's pretty boring. https://ratsunstorage.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/monthly_2024_03/IMG_660...

Re: Chocolate covered circus peanut

Got my coupe going again. Lost all the brakes a while ago. I procrastinated because i thought the JDM replacement for the brake switch was giant T making the system if you lost any of the brakes you lost all of them. Turns out I was wrong. unfortunately I had to pull it all part to find out. After f...

Re: Return for a ka24de swap

funny you ask that. We had a original 240z pump for a few years until we raced Portland and it decided to die. We tried a few different pumps and they all failed including a high dollar I think Holley pump. It said in the instructions "don't run it dry" which is basically what our racecar ...

kick ass looking. It's funny to dial in a car for a long time, then get a project 510 and take it for the first test ride. All I can think is "wow this is a long ways off from being a fun rig." haha.

Re: Return for a ka24de swap

I’m less concerned with the gas smell and more concerned with functionality, so I guess I can tackle that later. Ha. Everywhere I’ve looked, it looks like people just run a high-pressure in-line fuel pump for the swap. I haven’t seen discussion of any other option really. What did you do? Or sugges...

Re: Return for a ka24de swap

There are 2 fuel tank lines coming out of the tank on the bottom facing the back seat. 5/16" is return and 1/4" is feed. Not sure why it's done that way but it is. If you use either to feed a high pressure pump you will have fuel starving issues at 5/8 of a tank of fuel. There are many way...

Re: Am I in over my head? '70 2 door from scratch

Careful when redoing all the plumbing under the intake manifold on the SR. I deleted a bunch of that stuff on a KA once and it would overheat. There is a bypass that has to be hooked up, I think it cycles the water through the engine and around the thermostat, once it's warm enough the thermostat op...
