OK, Neil, it's been WAAAAAYYY too long since your last update. I drooled over this car at Canby this year and had a great time talking with you about it.

Re: Looking for a build thread
Jason and Indy, thanks for the link and photos. I took a bunch of pics of the car at Canby this year. Had a great time talking to Neil about it too. Almost took a pillow with me when I crawled under it. Super nice car.

Looking for a build thread
I talked to the owner (Neil) of this bitch'n wagon at Canby this year. Someone at Ratsun made a comment that there was a build thread over here from the previous owner. I haven't been able to find it. If someone knows, could you help me out. If you know Neil, ask him to call Jes. He has my number. T...

How is the rear hatch on that wagon. I would make a road trip for that. Rear defrost?

Sorry to dig up old stuff. I was searching for info on a few topics and came across this one. Didn't even think to look at the dates of the postings. I'll pay attention next time.

Re: Another wheel/offset Q
This is a pic of my stock wagon with early '90's 240SX 15X6 -40 with 205-60-15 tires. I also have a VERY small shim, maybe 3/16", in the front to keep the tires off the stock sturts. The rears rub at off camber driveways. Between -25 to -30 would be perfect in my opinion http://i25.photobucket....

Re: S12 V6 Strut rundown
With all the available choices for the front of a 510, you may want to decide on a wheel first then build for that size and offset. 7" wheel can be tricky to tuck in a wagon without rubbing hard on the inner fender.

Re: Roof Support question ...
I would think that seam sealer would do the job of keeping it in tact and last a good while.
There is also some urethanes that will NOT allow it to EVER come out again. haha

Re: Shortened Driveshaft Question
An L20B, using stock L16 motor mounts and a long tail Z/620 5 speed will require a shortening of the stock 4 spd PL510 driveshaft of 4 7/8" - make it 5" and you'll be good. Also make sure the shop phases the U joints correctly :D Byron Great info. I am assuming this is true to a wagon as ...

New guy to The Realm
Hey all, Just picked up my first ever 510. It's a '71 wagon that is in pretty good shape. It has a non stock L16 with a Weber and 4 speed. Pretty much a stock car except for a couple little things like seats and wheels. Like any 39 year old car it has it's quirks, but, is a great starter. Look forwa...
