WTB Rear Crossmember

Want to start with a clean slate, so will need a stock-ish rear crossmember. Not concerned if the exhaust pass-through has been enlarged/modified, but would like to get one with unmodified control arm pickup points. Local or near San Antonio, TX would be nice. Willing to drive a few hours to pick up...

WTB: Rear Control Arms

Hey guys, been a while!

I need a set of rear control arms. I'm in San Antonio, TX, just in case, but I don't expect to find a set locally and I do expect to get eaten by shipping! :) Let me know what you've got. Thanks!

Re: Restoring a '69 510 4 door.

Did you ever get around to measuring your plywood rotisserie? I need to make one of those... Great idea.

Re: Incorrect Rear Wheel Bearing

2. Trickier. Very hard to test and see when in operation. Perhaps a single observation will shed light. If the grease moves or flows around due to heat induced viscosity reduction, centripital force or gravity, would the grease not eventually end up in the bottom of the bearing housing, defeating i...

Re: Incorrect Rear Wheel Bearing

Hi Hudson, Sorry to hear you are in this predicament – what a PITA. However, I can give you some advice while you have this apart. The bearings you buy will (likely) be sealed bearings – as in they have seals on both sides. You’ll notice the bearings you removes have no seals on the inner faces (wh...

Re: Incorrect Rear Wheel Bearing

Julian, that appears to be rock auto's listing for the inner bearing.

And, now I've read zkars comment, well, piss. Guess I'm ordering another couple bearings.

Can anyone else confirm? The inner and outer bearings are supposed to be the same?

Re: Incorrect Rear Wheel Bearing

OK, image fixed?

Yes, I got two of the same bearing. Rockauto indicates the wagon and sedan outer bearings are the same OD, but they could be wrong I suppose.

Incorrect Rear Wheel Bearing

I'm thinking I'm beginning to go crazy. I purchased rear wheel bearings from Rockauto, Timken brand, a while back. I am now at a place where I can begin to put the rear end of the 510 together, and am running into a problem. The outer bearings won't fit... http://i.imgur.com/RcdfEEK.jpg They're damn...

Very cool! Been seeing his pictures on facebook. Guy recently got married as well. Good year :)

I'm not super familiar with the rulesets in the higher levels of SCCA racing. What's still 510 in that car?

Ah, I see. I was never frustrated with the linearity of the output/input, just the input lag.

Re: BACK TO MY NISSAN ROOTS

My understanding of the sprint booster system is that it simply remaps throttle input, giving the illusion of better throttle response. I looked into it when I still had my G35, as I experiencing the exact frustrations you were. It kind of makes sense, considering its location in the system. It basi...

I would get a good alignment before you start fabbing steering dampers.
