Re: Narrowing rear control arms

I really appreciate all of the time and energy you guy are investing in upgrading our favorite vehicle. I have had so many ideas and they have changed and morphed over the last 30 some years of 510 ownership. Some things I wanted to do in my 30s and 40s I wouldn't even consider now. So much more is ...

Re: Narrowing rear control arms

Feel free to bitch slap me if you like, but if you're going to go to all the trouble of making a completely new control arm, why not make it so that you can use a bolt on hub like on many newer cars? This would effectively shorten the bearing area giving you more room for a longer shaft. My thought...

Re: Best fitting fender flares

Refresh60, not a cheap option, but I think reproductions are available. Mine: https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4480/23563497408_deab4dd8a2_k.jpg Untitled https://www.flickr.com/photos/125537058@N02/ , on Flickr Thanks for the reply and they seem to fit well, but I'm just not a fan of that style flare...

Best fitting fender flares

I'm looking for advice on bolt on fender flares. Anyone have any experience buying fender flares that fit well. I would prefer ABS, but excellent quality fiberglass is an option.

Re: 81 510 wagon Pedal assembly?

Bringing this thread back from the dead. I finally found a manual pedal box. Local ice racer was parting out his spare part HL510 and kindly donated the pedal box. :) This car has now moved up slightly in the queue. Right behind my 1000 and before my next 510. :D

Re: Jordan's '72 2 door KA project

What is the AE86 track width, bolt pattern, etc? Would it be possible to use the AE86 LCAs and uprights? The track width on an AE86 is wider. I am considering doing just that though. Nice small vented discs to run 14" rims. I think the OP wants big brakes that's why he is not using them. Brock...

Re: Jordan's '72 2 door KA project

Do you mind clarifying what it is you are doing? Are you going to use the AE86 crossmember with the MR2 rack or the the S12 crossmember? Either way, I like what you are doing. keep us updated on the progress. Brock I like the 280ZX Turbo wheels. I have them in gold on my car. Too bad they are so bla...
