Re: Wheel Speed sensor installation

The Suburu's have a bolt on speed ring on the hubs, aprox. 4" in diameter that problaly could modified to work. I'll see if have one and take a picture.

How about out the back of the cam like they used to do with a mechanical tach, as shown in the "Bible".

Re: Duke's'72 Carbed KA project

Very nice in the design and the build. I have always been in favor of using the existing holes from the old mounting for the rack. This is following what Flaming River does for their rack mounts for old cars. One thing that they do different is the way they mount the tie rods( what I call traveling ...

Re: IDEAL Rear Suspension - No Holds Barred

I measured 1/4 degree of camber per inch of bump on my designed subframe. I think that you could save some height in the sedan by fulcrum links on the coilovers laying them horizontional like an indy car/open wheel car, but makes the thing more complicated. But, as you said modifying the structure/c...

Re: IDEAL Rear Suspension - No Holds Barred

Are you willing to highly modify the rear sheet metal where the gas tank now is ? IMHO the reason Datsun used the trailing arm and also BMW is the low package height of said suspension. When you start talking double wishbone and "A arm" type suspensions you need height. Also realize that a...

Re: Billet exterior c-Pillar vents in the works

Years ago, Mario (TSR) was in the process of making those vents, but of coarse scanners weren't common then. I think he was going to have them die cast out of stainless (typical Mario, first class quality). I would recommend you to make them out of stainless too, less maintenance in the long run, bu...

Re: Wiring Harness

Why are you replacing the factory wiring? If you need new connectors on the factory wiring , then I highly recommend the Vintage stuff. Just buy what you need plus the crimp tool or better yet a connection kit from them( comes with connector and tool). They will make up a kit for you if their standa...

Re: battery exploration

One caution, on the Costco interstate battery, the one they carry, has the polarity's reversed from what you need for a 510. I went with the one from Walmart because of the correct terminals. Note, that there is only a few manufactors of lead acid batteries in the US, with Johnson Controls the major...

Re: Bumper expert needed

I think that the 73 bumpers are different, at least the brackets are different to mount the big rubber bumpers (say that fast).
