Looking good! That Maguire's Ultimate Compound is the bomb when it comes to old paint. I used it in the 620's bed, looks like new!

If I remember right, didn't Datsun Comp sell a water/oil cooler back in the day? Looking at those Summit coolers that Byron linked, they appear to be pretty small size wise, easy to mount.

Byron,
If you ever get to Vegas, stop by and see Peter's place, it has some great pictures from back in the day and stuff to purchase. Plus get him to give you a tour of the trailer plant, it's up your alley.

Re: Noobie's 510 project

As Byron stated, Loctite bearing retaining compound is the right stuff, a quick look at the Loctite catalog will get you the right bearing retainer stuff, they have different grades depending on what clearances you are dealing with. You will probably need to get it from a industrial supplier, such a...

Does Nissan have bearings anymore ? I have always used OEM. There has been some misprints in the Tom Moore book, maybe this is another one.

Re: Suspension and brake questions, I searched

Looking to the future, I wonder how long the 280zx calipers and rebuild kits are going to be available. I think that moving to a current made caliper is a good idea (wilwood, etc). For brake pads, my go to are Porterfield r4s, which are available for the wilwood.

Michael,
As usual top notch work. Of coarse I wouldn't expect anything less from you. Sorry I missed running into you at SEMA.
