That was Mark Saunders B Sedan from the late 70's to early 80's. It was pretty quick if memory serves me correct.

Re: Muffler selection. Magic solution needed.

Let's not consider resonators in line for the moment. Actually, the resonator is one of the first things you should consider. The " Type " of resonator is very important. You do not want a Bullet Style ot " Thrush " style of resonator. Edit Those are very IN-efficient at reducing noise. With a reso...

Re: Water flow through the L series heads

It was in talking to one of Don's crew members that I started to put in some of the gauges I have. Only way to know what was going on. They had so many sensors on that car. As I progressed to the hillclimbs I wanted to see what my actual discharge temperatures was going into the motor. Slaloms were...

Re: Water flow through the L series heads

As far as the stock L28 goes, a single -6 hose at the casting pad between #5 and #6 is usually sufficient on N42 and N47 heads. P90's usually need 2 hoses for both #5 and #6 cylinders. This is due to a big casting flash on the P90 heads. The Hybrid Z article explains it all.

Re: Water flow through the L series heads

1It's definitely an issue on the L6's. Doesn't take all that much HP either for the detonation problems in #5 and #6 to raise it's ugly head. I've been tuning quite a few Turbo L28's with MS2 and MS3 lately. The cooling Mod greatly reduces detonation. More evident in areas with constant high ambient...
