Re: OCTOBERFAST 2009
Another FYI from the Sea to Sky here. The local RCMP have a new evil thing here; a brand new unmarked car in the form of a tan/gold Hyundia Sante Fe SUV. Beware! Sure not something I`d have thought of as possible Po po if I hadn`t seen it with someone pulled over outside our shop today. They also se...

Re: OCTOBERFAST 2009
Looking kinda unlikely with it being on a Sat morning, Keith. All my Sat. mornings are taken with personal maintainance now so I can work a regular week. If I get to bed early enough and find myself awake I might run down to the highway to wave with the Merkur as the 510 is done insurance wise tommo...

Just an FYI from the Sea to Sky. I just looked out to see we had our first frost last night. Dang it`s chilly this AM.

Re: OCTOBERFAST 2009
If it`s a Sunday and you are coming up this way I might even link up for atleast part of the drive. Not sure I could pull off the full tour though. Will Need to put a permit on the 510 or use the Xr4ti though because the insurance is off the 510 early Oct this year the way things worked out.

Re: What R these numbers stamped on the block surface of my L16
I`m pretty sure I`ve seen them too, so I suspect they are factory. What they mean I can only guess at. Maybe to help match pistons to bores or something on the production line? Wild guess only.

Fall Club Dyno Day?
We talked a bit about a Dyno day at Rocket Racing again this fall. I`ve Spoken with Pat and because of a very full racing schedule (Including Targa NF, look for him to be either winning or broken) there is only one weekend they will be around before the end of Oct. and that is the Oct 25th weekend. ...

Have the permit for the 510 now. $60 for two days. I remember paying $30 for a week when I first got this car. Geez, bend over for ICBC folks. How late in the day is the show going to be happening? Will most likely grab lunch before heading down from Sea to Sky country.

Is that the parking lot? Thinking I might put a permit on the 510 for the day and join you guys for the afternoon.
Gotta love Google Earth.

Yes Rich, in the local Nestors store. Canadians can enter because they have the provinces listed on the entry form selection even though they don`t mention Canada in the fine print. I guess they forgot we aren`t part of the US.

How cool would this be to win? For Rally lovers.

Re: 200sx fuel injection
I think it would depend on a couple things. Well, one really. How big an air volume between the ports and the airflow meter. A larger volume plenum and greater distance of the meter from the throttle body would both damp out any defined pulsing. You`d also only really have to worry about at idle whe...

Re: CV axle flanges
just got caught up here......going back to Byron`s vibration. I have a simular vibration on my car as well. My car isn`t overly low but I do use the R180 diff (for the cheap 4:38 ratio) which moves the axle flange center point ahead in relation to the outboard flanges on the arms when compared to an...

Spring All Japanese Meet: when and where?
With the great spring like weather the last few days I got to wondering when this event is this year? Also want to pass on the info to someone with a sweet Z-car I ran into.

Re: Electrical Help
If you haven`t done it already give the fuse box a vinagar bath. An ohm meter is not a good test of how good the connections are because it won`t put enough current through the circuit. Only good for testing electronics where currents involved are milliamps or less. No good for checking electrical c...

Re: Electrical Help
Process of elimination. Helps if you have a circuit breaker to put in place of the fuse but a box of fuses will work too. Start by disconnecting every item that the fuse supplies one at a time checking each time to see if the fuse still blows (since you say it is REALLY hot start with the balast res...
