Source for new rubber rear crossmember and mustache bar bushings

I'm restoring a stock, street car. I'm looking for a source for new, rubber, rear crossmember-to-body and mustache bar-to-body bushings. They are NLA from Nissan. I can only find urethane for sale. I'm not interested in welding anything, slotting or penultimate-ing on this car; the original Nissan d...

Re: Original Hitachi AM/FM radio speaker wiring

Thanks! I got a JDM radio trim that has the bigger hole for the lighter on the right side and I put the lighter over there. Then I got an actual fog light switch to put in the smaller hole. I plan to use the fogs as Daytime Running Lights so now the switch I will use frequently is a whole 6 inches c...

Re: Original Hitachi AM/FM radio speaker wiring

Thanks! After looking at your pic I guess I should have removed the dime-sized cover where the wires go in to take a look. Seems to be working now, some stations are clear and sound ok (ok for running mono sound through stereo speakers), others are a bit crackly. Thanks for the advice on the non-flo...

Original Hitachi AM/FM radio speaker wiring

So I want to keep my original Hitachi KM-1420 radio in the dash, with the output sent to speaker-level input of an amp/sound processor. My question is which is + and which is - for the speaker wires? I've got Grey (female bullet connector) and Grey/Blue stripe (male bullet connector). Anyone know wh...

Re: WTB: late style wiper linkage with good studs

Norm just did up a couple sets, fresh cad plating and new studs http://zeddsaver.com/ Thanks. I checked and the restored ones are a little above my budget for this item. Was just looking for a good used one I could throw in the glass beader for 10 minutes, spray some primer on and install.

WTB: late style wiper linkage with good studs

Wanted:
Late style wiper linkage with all 6 mounting studs in tact (not broken off).

I'll be at the SPEC 510 meet at Summit Point if anyone out here in the east has one.

Thanks!

Re: 510 Bump steer spacers**new price**

While comparison shopping noticed that another vendor states that their spacer fits ONLY the ZX strut and does not fit the stock 510 strut. I don't have ZX struts so I don't know what the difference is in this area. Do your spacers fit the stock 510 struts? I'm using the shorter ones, if that makes ...

Re: Looking for L header options and explantion of long vs s

Qwik510, thanks for the offer - I sent you a PM.

I had a cold but (I think) successful day looking through storage. Pictures tomorrow when I have the camera and the USB cable in the same place.

Re: Looking for L header options and explantion of long vs s

This has been covered before. If you did search and didn't find much try looking outside the L18 realm. 4x2x1 seemed the best all around. I did search a bit, but it's difficult because so many posts contain "header". Later I did find http://the510realm.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=8876 Giv...

Looking for L header options and explantion of long vs short

I've only found a very few options for L18 headers. Question - "long tube" vs. "shorty" headers: is one or the other better for a street car (power low vs high end)? Or is it only a description of the length? FYI, my application is L18 with L20cam, flat top pistons, A87 head, dow...

Re: Fuel line, brake lines - originally painted?

Since I had the underside of the car blasted and painted, I didn't want to just bolt the ugly old brake/fuel hard lines back on without refreshing them a bit. I took an afternoon and went over them with scotch-brite abrasive pads and CLR (Calcium Lime Rust) Remover and they came out looking not too ...
