Banzi, the plugs location on the distrubitior. Anyway i'm excited that my datsun fires again. next gotta fix up the wiring.

Thanks again five. Yes you were correct. I was 180 off the firing order. My engine is freakin loud with out an exhaust! :D

Ok I'll check the firing order again. I believe I've already turned the oil pump key 180. Did that a year ago. The engine was running perfect in my last 510 about a year ago. Thanks Five

Engine Backfires

I have a L20 with SU carbs and matchbox ignition. That I swaped from my last Datsun. The engine cranks over and there is now fuel firing back out of the SU's. It sounds like a shot gun is being fired with puffs of smoky/fuel firing out of the SU's! Is this harmfull? Or am I just overly senseitive. T...

I just found the fuseable link to the starter was all corroded. It now cranks and has spark. what might be a reason why it won't fire?

noob wiring question

Friends have been telling me to ask the right people this question. OK here it is I have electronic black nissan ignition. I redid the wiring and now don't know what wires go where. I have a hanes wiring diagram but doesn't help since i have the electronic nissan box. Help please!

ok found some brake lines there goodridge lines. They have brake lines for a Datsun 510. Would these work? Has anyone used this brand? There not cheep, can some point me in another direction. Maybe a little cheeper.

thanks kamodo dragon, that was a lot to read. but i'm confused on which is the beter one to buy? the vlsd is used in the newer subarus. but the clutch type is a better diff? correct me if i'm wrong :?
