Re: T3 Weld on Coilover Kit Instalation
You'd have to section 30mm out of the very top and weld it up. Likely they are oil bath and getting tired so new ones. Shorter is OK just stack washers under the insert to bring it up level.

Re: Help! New Rear Brake Cylinder question
Are they the same length? It's not there to make it match?
The original one didn't need it 'for wear'.
If the shoe is spaced outward that much will the drum still fit over the shoes?

Re: Carburetor identification
The Nissan rebuild kit is 16391-W8960 for the '81 A10. You may be able to cross reference this part number to another maker. All kits are listed by what vehicle, model and year they are used on. Kits often have extra parts and cover multiple models and years. The thing that makes your carburetor dif...

Re: Stock l16 engine/mounts sits too far forward?
Clutch fan was only used with the optional air conditioning. L16/18 L20B will all work but you need the 1600/510 oil pan. Possibly the L&R rubber isolators under the engine brackets are swapped. If the single stud going into the engine brackets are slightly off set to the rear normally they woul...

If the LSD is chattering or not working properly the clutch discs may be dry from driving too many lines in straight lines. Find a parking lot and slowly do 8 or 10 figure 8s.

Re: 81 510 wagon
There three part numbers for the turn/headlamp switch with the last two (distinction number showing similarity) as 00, 01 and 05. As no dates are given it can safely be assumed that they are all the same 25540-U8800 only used on the A10... no price displayed 25540-U8801* which is used on the 07-'78-...

Re: 81 510 wagon
'81 A10 would be the Z20 engine. Stock 4 speed is the F4W63 a descendant of the original PL510 from the '60s. It's 26" long, has a removable bolt on pan with a drain bung and the case has a waffle pattern.

Before April '71 the Borg Warner 35 was used. After, the 'new' JATCO 3N71B was introduced. They are the same length but I don't know if a perfect swap. The 3N71B mostly used a floor shift (but may have used a column shift during May and June) and BW35 were column and I don't know if the flex plates ...

The default position of the relay is low beams is there is no power to activate the headlamp relay so stuck on high beams is as mentioned either the relay is stuck or the turn signal is signaling high beams by grounding the Black/Red stripe wire on the relay. The headlight relay has 5? wires to it ....
