Re: Yet Another Headlight Thread
I remember there was an issue with some headlights years ago where the rear case/body of the headlight was grounding to the chassis via the mounting; the 510 wiring is set up to switch the power on the high side and the beam selection on the ground side so if the bulbs ground out via the chassis, th...

Re: Yet Another Headlight Thread
hold on... An LED is essentially a diode. If you have sufficient forward bias voltage to cause the diode to flow and sufficient current flow the hold that voltage, then the LED will produce 'light' (and heat). 1) disconnect all four of the headlight connectors from the bulbs. 2) push the headlight s...

Re: Yet Another Headlight Thread
Was your car an automatic car originally? Sometimes they have some extra mumbo-jumbo wiring for kick-down or emissions or whatever.

This suddenly seems relevant...
Years ago, while working on a buddy's 260Z, I found a few interesting pages in the FSM for that car. The concepts are consistent with our earlier 510s, so make note of their engineering dept's use of certain colors for certain basic subsystems...

Re: Return for a ka24de swap
Makes sense in theory. It all depends on the goal; going to Bonneville? Friday night cruising? Track days? All you need the low pressure pump to do is keep the surge tank filled; the low pressure pump needs to be able to handle the flow rate of the high pressure pump at your motor's max BSFC plus an...

Re: Return for a ka24de swap
Awesome. That’s actually a very simple solution in my eyes. Way better than cutting a hole in the gas tank. Ha. May I ask which fuel pump you’re using on the low pressure side? I have a decent walbro one that I was going to use to put into the injector system, but I’m gonna need to buy a low pressu...

Re: supercharged KA24E?
What about that Lotus Europa body on the Formula Atlantic chassis with the Buick Grand National 6 connected to the Hewland FT200 (or maybe it was a DG300?)?
