Holy shit. I totally didn't think of that. That is a profoundly simple and efficient idea. I owe you a Pepsi.

Re: Narrowing rear control arms

Doesn't Solidworks have a rusty Datsun sheetmetal surface option? That chromey one is too good!

Nice work Jeff & Sam (and don't forget the patience of both of your families!)

Re: Starter not engaging prperly

tl/dr - Perfect! Yes! The flywheel must have been installed backwards. You'd better take it off and check. While you are in there, have a look and see if there is a silly little crank spacer that was left in there before. :) Before the ring gear is shrunk onto the flywheel, the flywheel is machined ...

Re: Starter not engaging prperly

if you can see the flywheel to the left and right of the block its not installed. flowing your thought that "it wasn't going far enough"..... I split a trans off the back of an L16 to find a flex plate adapter used between the crank and flywheel in a failed auto to 4spd swap. Duuuh, now I...

Re: Starter not engaging prperly

I wonder if this engine was originally from a car with an automatic transmission... ...and that there is a very remotely possible that someone left an automatic spacer on the crank before they put on the flywheel. I used the pictures from an ebay auction by seller "baddoor250" (thank you, ...

Re: Can am box

If it was already hooked up, then it must be 127% perfect, right? :P The alternator takes a power signal from the battery through the key to the dash light over to the alternator's L terminal, as a power input to supply energy to the alternator's internal regulator circuit, at least until the altern...

Re: Can am box

How exactly did you connect the KA24 alternator to the stock 510 wiring harness?

Re: Can am box

you have to split the system in 1/2 and have a look at each side of that 1/2 split ⋅ proving the Can/Am box is one 1/2 ⋅ proving the ECU is the other 1/2 You can prove that the Can/Am box is ok a lot easier than you can prove that the ECU is ok, so that's where I'd start. One has...

Re: Can am box

Good move checking the fuses. Also good move swapping around relays to see if the problem tracks those parts. The yellow light tells me that the box is getting power from your primary power input and from your key, also that the box is grounded properly. Which fuse was burned out? ⋅ FP FUS...

Re: 2017 SCCA RunOffs

Andy's suspension design has a genius solution to steering geometry. Pay close attention to the picture labelled "Andy and Steve". HAHA that is a super good idea! Also note that those vertical links can be swapped out to achieve a different steering ratio; you only have to maintain the le...
