Norm, Duke's "K" reference implies an R180 ---> The 720 4x4 trucks and D21 4x4 trucks used an R180 as their front differential. As has been highlighted, the gears are supposedly cut in a slightly different manner, in order to be compression-loaded on the opposite side as 'normal' different...

Shocks (which should always be called dampers, because that's what they are) should be matched to the mechanical system (which spring rate is a part of). Spring with higher lb/in rates will also have a higher natural frequency. The damper is supposed to tame the natural frequency to prevent the syst...

What connecting rods did you find that will fit an L-series?? (These old L-motors use unusually wide big-end rod bearings).

btw, that sensor is very intriguing, It's now on my shortlist. Thanks for sharing! It's been on my shortlist for a while but I haven't had any pressing reason to get one. I want to try one in a dummy setup to detect a cam lobe, just to see how capable it is at detecting oblong shapes and magically ...
