funny enough, i had no idea. the last radio i ever tried to install was in my 1st car a 70 beetle, and the radio was used with no sleeve. no wonder i never got it installed successfully. the one i installed a few days ago was also a sony xplod oddly enough.. i have a '71 so no worries. it works awes...

perfect just the pics i was lookin for! im running a skid plate and was curious how close the bar and plate will be. it just might work with both. or ill just let the bar protect the pan like yours
