that metal bar (used a ball joint fork) between the wheel studs with lug nuts on was actually my first thought, but even with my e-brake on (pads need replacing) it was still dragging the bar across the concrete. it wasnt long enough lol..

had a shop do the bearings today $25 on the removed swing arm, they used a impact gun, hope that didnt jack the stub axle up...

I need to change my rear wheel bearings, as I have a nice wump wump in the rear that gradually got worse to the point I cant drive it anymore. funny enough, i had no idea. the last radio i ever tried to install was in my 1st car a 70 beetle, and the radio was used with no sleeve. no wonder i never got it installed successfully. the one i installed a few days ago was also a sony xplod oddly enough.. i have a '71 so no worries. it works awes...

im still lookin for a suitable sleeve. ill probably find one on a hot rod website. are you talking about the door handle that lifts? i bought a dental style pick set, works perfect for the window crank and door handle.

fair enough, i should of specified that i had never used a sleeve setup and didnt know jack about it or its function. i was under the assumption i had to use the old brackets and drill new holes to attach to new head unit. goatee: how i did mine was: rolled up the windows, removed door panels decide...

perfect just the pics i was lookin for! im running a skid plate and was curious how close the bar and plate will be. it just might work with both. or ill just let the bar protect the pan like yours
