Re: FS: 72 Datsun 510 Wagon

Hard to believe it hasn't sold yet. Here in Calgary, in CDN $, it would have sold within 24hrs, at full asking, without a test drive.

Rent a GL-12 hand crank genie lift. It can lift 350lbs nearly 14'. We use them all the time at work.

Re: Engine Swap Help

Tim, you may need to consider using multiple vendors to get this done. One to supply the parts from a wrecked S2000. Another to clean up the harness to make it easier to retro fit into an older car. Then take the parts and the car to a Datsun shop like Whitehead Performance up in North York to get i...

Re: Box Flares

Jim, I agree with Julian. I don't like the swoop, too much Testarossa in it, just needs fins on the door. It needs to be more boxy like the rest of the car. Otherwise I do like the idea of the retro box flare race theme.

Re: Market Price - Valuing a Potential Project

You're only losing money if you value your time more than you value the experience. Of course the goal would be to have at least one person value your time and effort more than you do so that you don't feel like you are losing your money.

Re: Market Price - Valuing a Potential Project

Exactly, are you doing the build because you need a job, or because you enjoy the process. I'm guessing for you it's the later, in which case the value of your labor needs to be measured against the value of the pleasure the build gives you.

Re: Market Price - Valuing a Potential Project

I agree with dcup, if you finish it and sell it, it will look like you are making money, but once you figure up your hourly rate, it's not going to be good. but if you are doing this because you enjoy the process, how much do you value part of it? It's like going to Vegas to gamble, I expect to lea...

Re: SPEED gone from Shaw Cable

They continued it on in Canada until their contracts ran out. It came off Telus last fall. Not a big loss. All the good racing was removed when Fox took it over and changed the name.

Re: "OSSAN" Stickers

I'll let you know.

It usually takes about 2 weeks for letters to get here from the U.S. so I'm still a little over a week before I'll start to wonder.
