Re: Wagon Struts Help / Options

Be careful indeed.

I believe it was bottoming out primarily becasue the OE struts were so old, worn out and way low on oil. Of course I'll know more once I get it on the road again.

Re: Wagon Struts Help / Options

You definitely need bumpstops, the alternative (if it should come to that) is metal-on-metal contact during a significant suspension movement. That leads to bad, bad things, infinite spring rate being but one. So that's what that loud banging noise was when I pulled into my driveway! Thanks...

Re: Wagon Struts Help / Options

They do that. Two reasons: one to provide space for some ATF or engine oil to help provide some heat dissipation; two because the strut is really located by the big gland nut up top. I love learning something new. I've never done struts before and it never occured to me that there needs to be some ...

Re: Tick-Tock-Tach

With the engine running and flashers on it's not quite as bad however the needle still has a considerable pulse. With the engine off and the blinker...

Tick-Tock-Tach

All of a sudden my stock tach has decided to imitate a metronome keeping time with my blinkers. I checked the wiring and can’t see anything obvious … all connections are clean and tight. The power wire is coming from the heater connection and I have a separate ground to the dash. Both white wires co...

Re: Fixes for crappy L-series header fitment
