Re: WTB:240sx ('89 & '90) front sump oil pan & pickup tube

I'll want to keep the one I have on my 510 now as it's flared to a shallower sump for ground clearance.

But I do happen to have a spare unaltered KA truck rear sump pan and pickup tube that should work out perfect for you.

I'll pull it off the block this wknd and PM you pics.

Re: WTB:240sx ('89 & '90) front sump oil pan & pickup tube

... a rear sump engine out of a truck. The rear of that pan was hacked for steering linkage clearance... That's my exact setup right now. Hacked up rear-sump p/u pan. Works perfect. However, I'm planning to do R&P conversion and if I can't make it fit in that small space where the steering link...

WTB:240sx ('89 & '90) front sump oil pan & pickup tube

Please let me know if you have any available.

This is for the single overhead cam engine KA24e only. I believe the DOHC block runs a different pan/pickup.

Thanks!

Re: Duke's'72 Carbed KA project

After much deliberation and planning, I have finally decided to dive down the rabbit hole of installing rack and pinion steering on my car. Like many 510's out there, my steering box was badly worn, and definitely one of the main weak points of the chassis. I have seen many different iterations of ...

... and still get the same 330RWHP and 300 TQ. Whoa, that's a lot of power from a (stock?) SR20DET 2L engine. It's one thing to claim those numbers as a dyno queen / street car, but quite another to sustain that for long'ish track sessions. I know the SR20 is stout little engine but it's st...

Last Solo2 event of the year - and a fun one!

Quickly the 510 season is wrapping up. Almonte.jpg The car has seen lots of action, bike outings, various 'chores' throughout the city, and a few Solo2 outings. SuburbanShot.jpg So far we've put a little over 5000km on her this year, hopefully another 1000km before she gets parked for the winter. Th...

Fall Update

I continue to make steady progress on project 280z. DriverEngineRailDone.jpg The plan was to work the entire passenger side of the car before starting with the driver's side. However, the outer portion of the rear wheel well was more rotted than hoped and since I don't yet have the replacement panel...

September update - progressing nicely

Quick update on my progress. I continue to work my way to the rear of the car along the passenger side. RockPanel_Preinstallation.jpg The last couple of weeks I addressed the rocker panel. The replacement part was actually pretty damn close, I only had to hammer down the pivot point a bit to clear t...

LED brake bulbs and Instagram'ing

Quick update on my 510. In the Ottawa valley we've had an insane amount of rain and overall shit weather "summer". So far I've only managed to get about 4000km on the 510. Besides that, it's running well. I was recently in BC and decided to pick up a set of Keith's (aka Bertvorgon) LED bra...

Amazing to read & hear about all of that out West. One of our stores was closed in Williams Lake. In the East, specifically Ottawa we've been getting incredible amounts of precipitation. Record breaking rainfall in April, May, and July. In mid July we already beat our annual average rainfall wit...

Re: Double or Nothing - 280z GT cruiser

You're braver than I! Glad that cars went to a good home. I have a 240z front bumper that's a good candidate for painting. Maybe a couple other odds and ends still. I would be interested in that bumper. A bit of welding (bumperette holes and make it 1-piece) and titanium-colored powder coating woul...
