Re: The white sloth project

Thanks for the kind words, guys!

I wasn't able to get her insured (yep, shes never been insured) before tomorrow's car show, so my goal wasn't fully achieved. It did motivate me to get off my ass and with it being Father's day weekend I'll get to spend hours upon hours wrenching 😁

Re: The white sloth project

I finally got the throttle cable situation all resolved and hooked up. I had to make a custom plate which mounted on the inside of the firewall utilizing the backside of the existing factory nuts as a mounting spot. This allowed me to use the OEM throttle rod boot for that factory-ish look. I was al...

Re: Quarter Window Latch

Awesome. Thanks, Bert!

Let me go flip mine around and give it another try. The latch does look to sit up a bit even in the closed position.

Re: Quarter Window Latch

It looks to me like you have the mounting plate of the latch attached to the outside of the body mount. Initially I mounted it to the inside and the latch wouldn't close down fully. This led me to the parts diagram that looks like the latch plate was supposed to be on the outside of the bracket wit...

Re: Quarter Window Latch

Thanks for the info., Mike. That does help. You're right, the amount of pressure that the latch is demanding does not seem appreciate for the task. Maybe I'll just leave them open and only drive on warm days. 😁

Quarter Window Latch

Hey Guys, I just installed my quarter window latches in what I appear to be the correct manor. However, when the window is fully closed and the latch is locked down it does not want to "lay" fully down and "snug" up against the bracket. I've never seen a picture of a new bracket in the closed positi...

Re: The white sloth project

Wow! Its been awhile since I've tended to the "sloth," and/or posted here. Gave the girl a bath for the first time in over a year. I still have a lot of little odds and ends to button up before she'll be road worthy. I'm trying to get her ready for the "fenders on front street" car show in two weeks...

Re: Being Perma Banned

I too was permanently banned. Checked ratsun to see if anyone had commented on the ban and nothing. Checked the site from other computers and they too said I was perma banned even when I wasn't logged in so I knew it had to be site wide.

I don't know about happy! A bittersweet moment for me for sure. Nice to get a good number but sad that this chapter in my life is ending.
True. But it's nice to end on a bang! Congratulations are definitely in order.

Crazy!! That much cash and you gotta deal with a L series (never fast, unless turboed) carbs and a steering box.... :) I bet the seller is doing the happy dance! Anyone know the happy seller here? I think he's on here. Or maybe it was ratsun? ...here it is: http://www.the510realm.com/viewtopic.php?...
