Re: '75-'79 200SX trans

I’ve got one that will need an overhaul, it sat outside for years and the shift linkage looks rusty and would likely need to be disassembled.

Is this for your 620 project? If so this trans is 4 7/8” short for the application - unless you had something else cooking....

Re: Another 72 510

No, no worries on the comment. This would be an inside story between Rob and Jason from a project many years back - not negative at all, but a good story to share in person. Why don’t you all attend the Christmas party this year and share it, Jason (and family, Rob and Greg. As Lou might say, this w...

Re: Chinese made aftermarket windshields

I know what you mean about the thinner Chinese glass going in easy - when I installed one for a club member it felt like it fell into place -
Thrown from a distance! Trust me, a stock thickness windshield takes a bit more time to seat those corners properly :-)

Re: New owner 1968 4 door sedan

I have a total soft spot for 68’s, I too think they are the most unique of the PL510’s, aside from maybe the coupes. I have an L13 / Three on the tree 68 that is actually more rare than the coupes here in North America, even though the coupes were n her sold in this market, there are way more coupes...

Re: Chinese made aftermarket windshields

It’s not a how to install thread, but I did note the glass thickness and a few other bits on the installation. I used a really dine, tight weave 3/8” nylon rope this time, it work d quite well. http://the510realm.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=11938&p=254103&hilit=L13#p254103 http://the510realm...

Re: Chinese made aftermarket windshields

I have installed a Pilkington screen on one of my cars, and what I can say against the Chinese glass is that it is thicker and sits in the OEM rubber much better than the Chinese ones do and the Pilkington is closer to the OEM glass thickness. It’s still a bit thinner, but it’s a lot closer. As far ...

Rob - noted to reread before sending. John, admittedly that’s pretty funny! Matt, many would look forward to you...

Just reread this whole page - interesting how projects go from simple beginnings to...well to this! That must have been fun wrapping up your whole thread over a 5 year period. Great work on a custom dash, few step into custom territory on dashboards. Way to stick with it, and for keeping us updated. ...

Re: LSD Break Away Touque...??

Hi Jeff, go back to checking the break away torque first tonknow where you at with the condition of the clutches. I never felt a lag with my unit, intact it acts no different than the precision gear unit with 4.375’s that replaced R190 with 4.44’s. Let me know what the break away torque is when you ...

Re: "Hey" my daily driven race car!

I really do need to do that. I don't know if you've noticed but I'm not much of a writer. haha. I actually bought a book but haven't written anything. Maybe that can be my new years resolution. With the racing app we use I can even export my times with all the times of the day. Not much of a writer...
