Re: EFI Manifolds For Sale, IR for Datsun L-Series heads

No deposit required, I just need my milling machine in place so that I can machine these up :-).

Work on the garage is progressing, contractors are lined up. I hope to have the machines in place by September, with electrical work then to follow.

Will keep you posted.

I just replaced the first of 8 CV's on my Armada - 385 lb/ft of torque.... all seven remaining joints appear fine after 200K+ kms and it weighs 6100 lbs!

Re: Door Lock Issue

The most common issue... the linkage literally bends over time, which changes the range the lock tumbler and leaver can move the mechanism....

Just a place to start, anyways.

Re: Front windshield seal from Vintage rubber

I don't know how much of a hurry you are in, but I'm putting together a Datsport order in the next couple of months if you wanted to share shipping....

Drop me a line, I may have something for you.

WTB 71-73 front seat belt reciever

As noted, I'm looking for 1 front seat belt receiver (lower part with the button/latch) for 71-73 style seat belt. I put a set in my brothers car but one of the button/release mechanisms is broken. I used a rear belt base but it's far too short to be used up front. A local Vancouver/BC part would be...

Nearly half of these cars were delivered with white interiors, yet you rarely see one today - refreshing to see. Looks great Chad.

Re: WTB L-16 Lower Alternator mount

As noted in your drawing above, there are a few oddball exceptions. The three bolt mount to the block started on late L16 block, but I have seen early L18 blocks with only the 2x 10mm mount configuration (still better than the 2x 8mm used on most L13/16 blocks). I have also seen the 2x 8mm fabricate...

Re: WTB L-16 Lower Alternator mount

The later L16 blocks did upgrade to the 10mm bolt size and this continued right through production to the end of the L series engines. If the holes in your alternator accept a 10mm bolt, I would suggest drilling and tapping these to the larger size as well. Another good trick I've done is drill the ...

Re: Shawn’s ‘72 Driver

So the car has sat in the garage for the last two weeks an not moved at all since this recent work was done. I was in the shop last night and noticed that the fluid in the clutch master cylinder had turned colour already...damn! Must be a CMC or clutch slave cylinder going bad, I can't think of any ...

That's a pretty funny photo for sure.

Man that shell still looks pretty good from this angle. Too bad you were not in NA, a fellow member here could have used your RH front corner.

So how's the actual project coming? Updates?

Which product did you end up using for insulation on the floors & firewall?

Car looks great, and it's an unusual colour on a 510, can't wait to see it on its wheels outside.

Re: Replacing those old dirty...umm missing lines?

My advice is primarily not to use steel lines. The newer Copper/Nickle alloy lines are better, softer and easier to work with. May be too late for you now if you've ordered. Those were the ones that I bought and I also bought the JEGS tool for super tight bends. Only bad thing is that the tool won'...
