Re: Turn signal flasher relay

As I trace the rear turn signals, I am still not sure if they ground back there...or..... There is a harness chassis ground back there; two wires normally coming together at a ring connector in the harness - terminating to ground right near the trunk catch held down by a #2 Phillips machine screw. ...

Re: Turn signal flasher relay

I tried to buy a set of Paulo's prints, but at the time I contacted him a couple years back. He'd quit producing them anymore. At any rate - I'd love a good copy of yours in trade for the installation :-) As noted in my wiring of the headlights posted on the Bronze thread, I assume the function of y...

Re: Turn signal flasher relay

Funny you mention that power goes through the 4 way flasher in series before the signal switch. I was reminded of this a few years ago on the Bronze when my signals stopped working one day. On the car I used a 68 dash which doesn’t have a mounting spot for the 4 way flashers, and used a 69 wiring ha...

Re: Skid Factory EFI conversion.

I'm liking the drop in crank angle sensor - awesome for us guys who've gone programmable ignition. I wonder how stable it is compared to the crank angle sensor set up? What I can tell you is that my crank angle set up is so stable compared to the Nissan EI distributor, so is the variance I got with ...

Re: Headlight Relay Harness

I put some more time into this yesterday - and around picking up kids from sport, taking in the last Scouts group committee meeting of the season and totally leaving my wife to deal with family and dinner - I made some progress. Since the headlight upgrade will now be a four X - single filament bulb...

Re: Noobie's 510 project

You know, if it's a tap fit at all, it's enough to make sure the bearing is centered in the housing - which is all that's needed. When installed the bearing is torqued down against the shoulders on either side on the outer race, and the matching spacer (A,B,C) ensures that the inner races have the s...

Re: Noobie's 510 project

Hopefully this can help you understand the spacer issue when it next comes apart. Likely it's the right one - unless you had more than one arm apart at the same time. But it's worth a verification since you are having issues. Factory Manual RA7 Wheel Bearing Replacement.jpg Factory Manual RA8 Wheel ...

Re: 2018 Canby show, June 8,9&10th, Clackamas county fairgrounds

I looked at the weather this morning, trace of rain Friday going into the evening. Some rain Saturday and a trace Sunday morning. The weather prediction always seems worse that the actual event. And if the rain falls Saturday - it's a totally laid back day anyways, so I'm good with that. The 10x10 i...

Re: Headlight Relay Harness

OK, staring at the post making sure the spelling is correct – I think I just figured it out – correct me if I’m wrong; 2x Type 2 relays used; For low beam: Pin 2 to Terminal 86, Pin 1 to Terminal 85 For high beam: Pin 2 to Terminal 86, Pin 3 to Terminal 85 Obviously Terminal 30 is full amperage posi...

Re: Headlight Relay Harness

Adam, or anyone else out there that can help on this subject of this wiring. I should have asked about the pin out Adam did during this modification. I had done headlight upgrades in the past using the stock relay in place, tripping the aftermarket relays to run a sub harness to the headlights. But ...

Very cool Michael, thank so much for sharing the photos. The pictures are great. A very good friend of mine also has a Japanese wife, lives here in Canada but goes over to Japan usually once a year. Over the last 10 years he’s sent photos of bio-degraded 510’s of all shapes and sizes that he’s found...

Re: 2018 Canby show, June 8,9&10th, Clackamas county fairgrounds

Guys, my brother and I will meet you at he muster point at 8am to caravan down together. Spent the day on his car getting things ready - mostly trim items that never really got done, like door handles and rear window winders. Made him a new trunk cover for his spare tire - which still needs to be lo...
