Your right, im a bit of a noob when it comes to build threads, it is a stock s13 ca18det s13 5speed and mazda lsd 4.3 gears. The engine is in and running, just a million small things to do now. Heres a pic of the engine bay looking a little busier

I havnt had much time for this lately but its still moving, hoping to get the motor in within the next few months, just got the rear main seal and head gasket to do and removing all the unused ports on the manifold.

Thanks rich, those guys must spent big hours on gaps and alignment. I had to add some metal like you said to the lower drivers door just to get the gap the same as the rest, but I can't image trying to get the whole car perfect.

I got all the door glass latches and rubbers fit during the week and sat the trim on there to see how it looked. Colour is similar to original

Ok I've got one side sort of looking like a car. I set the door gaps and drilled holes in the latch before i painted to make them easier to fit. Are all panel gaps and alignment on datsuns shit? Feels like I spent ages to get them just ok.

Thanks Joel, I've still got more clear to shoot but I'm having trouble finding a window of opportunity, so I started a bit of reassembly on the body, progress is so slow but here's some pics anyway

I think I'm finished with paint on the body, I ended up doing 4 coats of colour, rubbed the orange peel out with 600 dusted another coat on then 4 coats of clear rubbed back with 600 then another 2 coats then sanded with 1000 1500 then 2000. I used farecla g3 compound. Reflection doesn't look to bad...

Finally got a chance to shoot some colour over the weekend, I decided to use acrylic since its a bit more novice friendly. Looks like its coming up pretty good. Here's a pic of the engine bay cleared still straight of the gun. Hopefully I'll cut it back during the week.

i have 3 mint sets hanging on my wall Make sure you hang on to them alveen. They are starting to get good money here Avoid metallic, looks too modern. I love the sport grey. I'm thinking that too. Everyone I speak to say metallic, but the more old school pics I look at the more I think the non meta...
