Re: NVH Issues

Again I can't stress enough, to re-measure after you make a change (so you do not chase your tail) at the rear of the transmission. Is the change enough? is it going in the right direction? Then move on to the rear did you take a measurement with the shims out of the front of the diff (removing them...

Re: local news - Bystanders rescue family from vehicle fire in Pitt Meadows

Nice work Byron & friends. As little as it seems (knowing that you have experience as first responders) make sure that you have someone who can assist you in the aftermath of your experience. No sense in trying to be a hero a second time (not trying to be condescending). Take care of yourselves ...

Re: Windshield replacement (Vancouver area)

Yes I do have a new windshield seal on its way, No I have yet to get confirmation on if and exactly when Speedy could deliver. Yes I have read his how to, and I have done them on my own as well but if I am going through ICBC I am sure that they would want to install as well?

Windshield replacement (Vancouver area)

Need to replace my windshield in my 2 door, looking for information on who/where is a glass shop in the greater Vancouver area that will be able to supply & install? Just spoke to someone at Speedy but they are indicating 1-2 weeks to get glass.

Re: #1157 Plasma LED RED bulbs for sale

Yes the cheap ones do not have the same resistance as the old incandescent bulbs and in a circuit that incorporates the turn signal the signal will flash fast.

Re: Steering knuckle useless screw?

Those are your steering stops. they contact the lower control arm when at full turn on steering wheel. Why do you want to remove them?

Front windshield seal from Vintage rubber

Has anyone used the front/rear windshield seal from Vintage Rubber? just wondering about fitment etc. I know that some swear by the stuff from Datsport seals but how much will shipping be? Also in the market for a new windshield, I see there is someone selling them down in California both tinted/non...

Re: NVH Issues

You will have some busing deflection on the rear suspension as the wheels hang free, as you are trying to eliminate a vibration that happens when vehicle is at curb weight you want to re-produce same conditions that this occurs, so the use of a drive on hoist is a must. Depending on how much movemen...

Re: Fort Casey drive 2017

Thanks for taking the initiative Keith, looking at the map maybe if I can make a suggestion to stick to the coast along Bayview Edison Rd? Anyone been this route? Thinking it may be a bit more scenic? But then again there are the long straightaways along the Chuckanut route too... Thoughts?

Re: NVH Issues

I see in your original post that you are using a frame contact hoist, there will be deflection on the rear suspension bushings which could affect your rear readings. to eliminate this I would suggest using a drive on type of hoist or using the drive on ramps for all 4 wheels. sounds like you are on ...
