Brake upgrade options that fit under 14x6+20 wheels
I bought my 14x6+20 offset wheels (Bridgestone Mesh Etoiles) without too much research into brake upgrade options, other than anecdotes that 14's should let you fit 280ZX brakes. Now I'm ready to lower the car with T3, GC, or other coilover kits and am considering staying with stock 510 struts, and ...

Re: WTB: Antenna, Dome light cover, seat emblem
Ha, well I was too lazy to search if there were any on eBay, and lo and behold antennas are pretty available. I got a new one from some place in Taiwan, fit the car just fine, came with rubber and everything. Thanks though! I wish the seat emblems were that easy, those seem to be hen's teeth.

WTB: Antenna, Dome light cover, seat emblem
Anyone have an OEM antenna that fits a '71?
I'm also looking for the round plastic dome light cover, and one rectangular emblem that came on the original seats; it has posts to secure it to the seatback, they were found on the front and rear seatbacks.

Re: Spectra Premium fuel pump review
So the Carter pump came in yesterday, and imagine my dismay when was the same design as the Spectra Premium & Airtex pump; stamped metal crimp-top and the same pressed-in design of the lever pivot shaft. If you order Summit part CRT-M70111, you will NOT get what's shown on their website: http://...

Re: Fuel Pump Question
I had a bad experience with a Spectre Premium pump, which is very similar to the Airtex pumps at Autozone, RockAuto etc. I'd stay away from them. I'm getting a Carter pump per Okayfine's recommendation for a few bucks more, the engineering is much closer to the OEM pump.

Re: Spectra Premium fuel pump review
Rockauto only seems to carry one Beck Arnley item now, and it's an electric pump. These are good leads though Julian, I'll keep investigating, thanks!

Spectra Premium fuel pump review
Maybe there's a lesson here... My '71 L16 had a Mr. Gasket electric fuel pump in it when I got her from the PO. It ran the car just fine, but was poorly integrated into the car and the outlet fitting popped out once, which always made me nervous. I decided I wanted to go back to mechanical since the...

Re: SSS article on R&T
Since I picked up my survivor '71 a few months ago, my garage now smells of vinyl and gas. Makes me smile every time I walk by the car.

Re: Which is Which
Trying to replace stock with stock, when possible; she's a 98% stock survivor so my first preference is to return everything I touch to either the same or better than original. I just wouldn't feel right with a bolt shoved into a hose; even though it solves the main problem, it'd bug me! Thanks for ...

Re: Which is Which
Sorry to ressurect an old thread, but I just brought my 1971 sedan's tank into a shop for cleaning and sealing, and I don't want to re-use the rubber cap that I took off the return tube, it already had signs of exterior cracking. Button, or anybody, where were you able to find a replacement 5/16&quo...

Re: Where to buy jets for the Weber 32/36 DGV carburetor?
Ordered a 0.60mm primary idle jet from pierce manifolds, and put it in last night. After a quick test drive, it definitely fixed the bog that would occur when applying throttle from a start; it's amazing the difference 0.05 millimeter can make. It changed the idle a bit too, I suppose it's idling a ...
