Re: Metric Fasteners

Bolt Supply House, Lowes, Fastenal, and several industrial supply houses in Calgary have Metric fasteners.

If you want JIS standard hardware, belmetric and clipsandfasteners.com seem to be pretty good

Re: 280ZX Brake calipers sourcing problems

Disturbing news indeed.

I recently bought a pair from RockAuto, A1Cardone brand, 19-154 and 19-155. Now I look and they are gone. They do show Raybestos and Beck/Arnley still.

I couldn't find any in Canada, other than being helped by Ross Mullen who found me a pair at Lordco in Surrey.

Re: Speed Sensor (VSS) for 4 Speed Transmission

That Martin crawler thing is a fantastic solution for more than just speedo drive. EMS speed input, cruise control etc etc etc.. I'm gettin' one! $49?? Cheeeepppp

The Speedhut GPS solution is the best way to solve ohenny's problem assuming the old one is returnable of course.

SS brake lines make nice clutch hoses... The 510/280zx one that has a male on one end and a female on the other? Trim a bit off the length of the male end if it bottoms out, add a copper crush washer, done. Take that you crappy rubber hydraulic lines, POW!

I just remembered to register this morning! Been planning on coming for months. Just woke up apparently.
Thanks for putting on this show again, I know it will be a grand success.

Should be there in the 510 unless someone out there wants to buy my Z!

Re: Road & Track: why stiff springs = less grip

All I read was "Let's show everyone how smart we are and how dumb the masses are about springs and traction, and prove it using simplistic examples that leave out all the real world stuff that disproves our point". Perhaps all that can be written about cars has been done so many time that ...

Re: WTB Release Bearing Holder for 4spd transmission

Remember the rule of 92? The distance from the flywheel friction surface to the back of the ears on the throw out bearing collar where the fork touches, has to be 92mm +/- a couple. Yes this means you have to buy the clutch first, bolt it to the flywheel, measure from the surface to the tips of the ...

Re: Question to the L4 engine building guru's re cam oiling

Thanks Wiz, it is time to re-read that chapter of the Bible. I read that thing about one every 10 years, which is NOT often enough to remember details anymore.

I'm assuming you mean this

http://www.datsport.com/racer-brown.html

Chapter 5 has the relavent data on cam oiling and how to improve it.

Re: Question to the L4 engine building guru's re cam oiling

Thanks for the reply boys. Leaves with a couple of unanswered questions though. First, what is the reasoning that adding a spray bar is considered necessary? Is the stock cam oiling considered inadequate in general or is this simply a race engine/high RPM/high load durability measure? It's plain tha...
