Re: Is this ok price for a 510 4dr?

If it truely is a no-rust car, then it is a great price.

I would not buy it without a very thorough inspection however. Even the most apparently 'rust free' Datsun's I've seen normally have a surprising amount once you sand blast them to their bare-all state. Proceed with caution.

Re: Rock Auto Shipping to Canada Cost?

I Rock RockAuto all the time. No surprises, no hidden fees. And faster than ever. I usually get stuff in 2-3 days now. Choose the second least expensive option, which is Fedex. It's just a tiny bit more than the cheap option and much faster. I know my delivery guy by his first name already.

I might have a car you'd be interested in. In Western Canada. PM me or send me an email to z240@shaw.ca

Please ad your location to your profile so we-all can decide if what we have makes sense to get to you.

Re: WTB a set of bare 280zx front struts and hubs

We are all the way there! was informed of a 82 280zx at Bucks auto parts here in Calgary, went and "relieved" it of the complete front struts. Even had working and complete brake calipers. Well I can squeeze the pistons and get clear fluid out. Maybe at worst they could use new seals. The only reaso...

Re: WTB a set of bare 280zx front struts and hubs

Ok, we are half way there. I have a set of struts now, just need a set of 280zx hubs. Please dig through your stashes. I have lots of stuff to trade too if that works for you.

72 2door coupe shell. Come and get it.

I'm parting out a 72 2dr. The shell is going to be available to any vultures that wish to come pick its bones for about the next 5-6 days. After that its off to the recycle man. By shell, I mean the sheet metal bones, nothing mechanical. More parts will be available after this winter's round of rest...

WTB a set of bare 280zx front struts and hubs

Hey gang, I'm in need of a set of 280zx front struts. Just need the spindle and hub (with or without bearings), don't need the spring/perch/seats/shocks or any of the related brake items In fact I just need the first 4 inches of the strut tube and a bare hub, don't even need studs or the bolts to at...

Re: Help to find an L20B flywheel in Europe

Other than having a 225mm friction surface, the 240/6/8 flywheels have the same ring gear diameter and 6 crank bolt attachment. You will have to buy the matching clutch. There is also a 240mm flywheel for the 2+2 and turbo ZX cars that will 'fit', but that's overkill for you. There are also aftermar...

Re: Brake and fuel line flare type.

Once you get the hang of making them, you'll wonder what the big deal is. These points are critical 1. Only use a proper tubing cutter, never a hacksaw. Squareness counts and cleaning up a rough cut manually is not easy. 2. Remove the inner folded over 'burr' with a countersink bit. Light pressure, ...

Re: Brake and fuel line flare type.

I cannot comment on fuel line fittings on a KA fuel rail, or the car that it came from, but stock 510 fuel lines are not flared at all. Just a formed bead on the end of the lines to accept a pressed on rubber hose. If you want to use AN fittings, these use a 37deg flare (single or double flare, doub...

Good old Bowness Auto. Glad you found something.
I'm around until Friday noonish, then we'll be out of town for the weekend for a wedding.
Good luck at the Autocross, wish I could be there.

Re: With asap front brake hose in Calgary

I've got a new 15/16 master if you want to try it. So you have more travel than you like, but do the brakes work well once you get to a point where you get some resistance or is it still mushy? Didn't mount the calipers on the wrong side? Bleeders on top? Just throwing out any possibility I can thin...
