Re: Water flow through the L series heads

L6's definitely suffer from overheating in #5 and #6, but it's restricted to very high output engines. There is a very extensive thread on hybridZ.org that goes on and on and on about it. i'll see if I can find the link. One of the early L20A's (I think) used an external water manifold like what God...

Steel wheel Options for 510. 15 inch

Can't remember any discussion about this, but has anyone found a 15" steel wheel from another car that works on the 510?

Late 90's Altima wheels are 15 x 6 but the offset is +45mm, bit much of a spacer for my liking. Any ideas or leads would be appreciated.

Re: Cam etching/engraving decipering

Yes, it's a nice package. Even with the crappy head it runs very strong. Even came with a light (10lb) aluminum flywheel. The head is an early square port. It has 150PSI static compression across the board. When I got it, the compression on #2 was 0, while the others where all a perfect #150. The va...

Re: Cam etching/engraving decipering

It is an L20b block, checked that.

Will get the 2.2 gasket and do a little splicing.

Thanks!

Re: Cam etching/engraving decipering

There I go again assuming shee-it. I'm thinking stock Z cam lifts when I thought .45 was pretty close to stock, but clearly not. And when I look at the rest of cam, it's actually a CWC casting not Nissan. Duh. It's in good shape now, the springs are stock, so it should hold up for now. The head itse...

Cam etching/engraving decipering

This may be fruitless, but anyone recognize any of this engraving on the back of a cam I have in an U67 head?

The cam appears essentially stock looking to me base circle wise. Lift computes to 0.45 in at the moment, nothing special, just curious if anyone has seen these engravings.

Re: Seat belt mounting location ???

Ok, more details. The centerline of the holes is. 3.5 inch behind the seat back. The two plastic oval air vents are both in front of this hole to further help visualize where it is. The bottom of the bottom vent is about 1" in front of the hole position. Further, its down in the trim piece that...

Re: Seat belt mounting location ???

Oh sure, no direct picture. What I do know, is that I built a very stought L bracket to move the hole to the horizonal plane, to put a retracter on my new raised parcel shelf. So it more less half way between the top of the rear seat back and the glass. It's quite close to the metal parcel shelf, it...

Re: Seat belt mounting location ???

On my 69 they are on the.vertical face of the rear quarter/sail panel just below the where the air vent is positioned on the outside. They are not on the flat of the parcel shelf or along the back vertical piece between the shelf and the rear glass. I will find a picture of what I did back there.

Roof Rack for Sale

The recent 71 2 door that I acquired came with many lovely features, but this is not one of them. The roof rack is just not me. I feel obliged to let it go to a better home rather than recycle it. It's not in pristine shape, I'm sure it's carried it's fair share of 2x4's, luggage, Xmas trees and the...

Holley 350 two barrel and Offenhauser Dual Port Manifold for sale

My recently aquired 71 2 door came with an carb and manifold setup I chose not to keep. It's a Holley 2 barrel and a dual port Offenhauser manifold. I cleaned up the manifold (bead blast and high heat silver paint), and scrubbed the carb a bit. It was working on the L20B that is in the car, but it w...
