Re: Evlevo's 72 510 Sedan

Theres some good info here thanks for the tips guys. Ill have to invest in a torch. I get the feeling ill break a few more bolts. Is it just the angle/ of the picture but is your frame rail notched to clear the wheel?

Re: Evlevo's 72 510 Sedan

Got a lot of the front end ripped off and one fender. Only broke every bolt! My goal before the snow flies is to get the car completely stripped and fully inspected then ill have to hide inside till spring. By then i should have my parts sourced. http://i.imgur.com/8CnNOdLl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/ix...

Mine was auto too, you'll need the brake and clutch pedal assembly, really easy to adapt (in case you aren't familiar with mod) all you'll need is the hardware and simple tools, I couldn't believe how simple it was :-) You don't have a windshield, do you? Ahh yes i forgot about the brake part. I ed...

Heating it up enough to bring the metal to an easily workable temp more than likely boil the paint off and warp your quarter panel. Always work the metal cold if you can on something so thin to avoid warping.

Re: 510 2dr: bump/ridge up inside rear fender rubbing?

If this is the lip on the edge of the quarter youre talking about, that lip on most cars is spot welded to the wheel housing, sometimes adhesive bonded. If you cut the lip off instead of folding it in 100% you run a couple risks, none good. Water can get in easier, the quarter is missing like half o...

Re: Evlevo's 72 510 Sedan

If you haven't changed anything, I still think you'd be ahead by procuring another wiring harness complete. It's still much easier to do and it will be more reliable. The problem with any aftermarket wiring kit is that they are engineered along North American engineering - electrically speaking, th...

I may just have to step up to the plate! haha. I think i even have enough wire sitting around already. The gauge may be a bit large for what ill need but well see what happens when the time comes. Could always buy more.

Re: Evlevo's 72 510 Sedan

Aside from the mess that use to attach to the alternator it hasent really been hacked. The big problem i having with the wiring is the condition. the harness casings and plugs are brittle. Everything i try and touch to unplug shatters.

Re: Evlevo's 72 510 Sedan

When the time comes to paint the car ill have to head to Nissan see if i can get permission if they even care. My girlfriend is a web designer and said it should be simple to re-create the House of datsun logo. I tried playing with the wiring a bit more. I managed to coax life into the headlights, t...
