Re: "83 280ZX close ratio box and 3:90 differential

I have the ZX close ratio box, the biggest difference is the .74 5th gear. It shouldn't cause you any issues around town but you will find that it will feel gutless in 5th. I have 4.44's and it still falls on it's face in 5th....not that I need it to accelerate hard at that kind of speed, if I wind ...

Re: 2018 Summer Drive

I know these Nankangs are happy at very low pressures. The harder sidewall keeps them sharp. I have gone all the way down to 18 cold and they feel the same as at 24. For fun I deflated one to 0psi and looking at them you could not tell which one it was.

Re: 2018 Summer Drive

That looks like it was fun. I got out for a drive up here yesterday. As it was I would have been getting into West Van Friday night at almost 11:30 after 4 hours of sleep on Thursday night I really didn't think it would be a good plan to go on a drive with 3 hours sleep. It sounds like you are enjoy...

Re: 2018 Summer Drive

Well unfortunately I have to bow out on this one. I have too many things to do and not enough time. Someone else will have to tie themselves to your bumper Keith.

Re: 2018 Summer Drive

I am coming in the night before and staying in West Van. The google says it will be 1 h 40 min to get to the chevron so I will have to leave around 3:30 to find some coffee

Re: Swift springs

I assume that would be cool over in the rear correct? Are your shocks the koni 8610's or the sports? The highest rate I have ever heard of on a road car is 375lb/in. I went from 200lb to 300lb and it totally changed my car. At 500lb you would have no suspension movement at all except for the hardest...

Re: 2018 Summer Drive

I had a set of 4.11s for you. Maybe we can just tie us all together. 600hp between 3 cars should be good.

That looks like it was fun. Andy gave me a good look at his car one day when he was working on my car. That is a pretty amazing piece of kit.

Re: The Bronze - '69er Resto Project and continuing build-up.

Thanks for your feedback Norm. So to confirm you are using Specialties 1100 lbs spring in the stock location with QA1 adjustable shocks or are you using coil over units with the QA1? Would you have a part number by chance on the adjustable shocks that worked for you? I’ll see if I can get some leng...

Re: The Bronze - '69er Resto Project and continuing build-up.

What shocks are you using Byron? I am using the QA1 adjustable and it has more than enough adjustment for me with the 1100lb rear springs. I know my rear has never bottomed out but I am a good bit higher than you.

Re: Turn signal flasher relay

Yes going through the 40+ feet of wire in my car and multiple connectors I would expect some voltage drop. Especially with the 49 year old wires and connectors. I know the deoxit helped mine but now I am wondering how hard would it really be to rewire the car with modern connectors and new wire.
