Project quiet car

Well I started this week on quieting down the interior of my car. I pulled everything but the dash from the interior and cleaned out the last bit of the factory sound deadening. I happy I decided to take it out as there was a bunch of surface rust in the rear under-seat area. I cleaned it all out th...

Re: Noobie's 510 project

We should try and plan a drive with the group while you are here. It would be great to have another one out for one of the adventures.

Re: Spring Length affect on the suspension?

I started out with 200 and 800 on my car and went to 300 and 1100 when my suspension was set up by Andy at Specialty. I have a 1 1/8" front sway bar and no rear bar. I really did not notice a lot of difference in the ride other than the fact my suspension would no longer bottom out on bumps in ...

Re: Front Sway Bar Help

Funwithmonkeys - I just went through your build thread and saw what you did. I guess that's what I will have to do as well. It's a shame that bar doesn't fit right out of the box. Anyone else have a good recommendation on a sway bar that they know bolts right up? The bar did fit right out of the bo...

Re: Front Sway Bar Help

Mine was contacting the X-member in the same way. No matter how short the end links were it was still making contact before the suspension bottomed out. I had to make standoffs and re-profile the bar to make it work.

Re: How to Post Pics !!!!!!!

I have been using the photo editor that comes with Windows and it works great. Just right click on the photo and then edit. It will open the photo in the editor and then you just have to click on resize at the top and choose how much smaller you want it. It is in every version of Windows I have used...

WTS Nardi steering wheel and R180 4.11 gear set

I have a Nardi Personal Monza wood steering wheel I would like to sell. It was used for 1 season and is in great shape. It has a small nick in one spot and could use a bit of polish. Re: Suspension and brake questions, I searched

If you are already having to cut off the spring search and weld on a new one it would be just as easy to put on an off the shelf coilovers kit on the struts. It opens you up to almost any spring rate you want and makes it very easy to set your ride height. Going with solid mounting or poly bushings ...

It was probably 25+ years old and like trying to look through a white sheet when driving into the sun.

Re: Chinese made aftermarket windshields

I just put a Chinese one in my car. It was the first time I had ever attempted something like it and after reading a couple of write ups on here about it it took me a total of 8 minutes after the rubber and stainless trim was on to do it by myself. I really didn't think it was going to be that easy,...
