Re: 2.3L of fun

Thanks Dan, my ride height is within a couple of mm of where Andy set it so I am happy with it. I measured the toe with just a couple of pieces of angle iron and a tape measure and it looks like I have over an inch of toe out. I am going to be tackling that when I get back home from Vacation. There ...

Re: Front short strut inserts whats available in 2019?

If you are going to track the car or even drive with some gusto on the winding back roads you will bottom out the suspension with 200lb springs. Mine did just driving down Broadway when I hit a bump at a bus stop.

Re: Front short strut inserts whats available in 2019?

I used the regular KYB and the Koni sport ones. Below 200lb springs the regular kyb worked well enough. The Koni sport worked well with 200lb and with 300lb springs. I have the koni race ones currently.

Re: QA1 camaro rear shocks

Specialty engineering has a drop in spring that he sells. Stock diameter and shorter to lower the car. I have weight jackers so I have 2.5" diameter 6" long Eibachs.

Yes I have the non coil over single adjustable. They work great with my 1100lb springs.

Re: Insane wind storm in White Rock

We had some crazy winds here also. I drove through Davis Bay at the height of it and the waves were crashing over the highway. The logs were being thrown onto the highway also. People were being idiots and stopping on the highway in the driving lane and taking pictures. It is amazing no cars were hi...

Re: FIA Cyl head

adding pictures is not intuitive?? I agree 100%. put some text into the text box, then click 'full editor & preview" just below the text box there are two tabs. one says options, one says attachments. click the attachments tab. click add files. it should be intuitive from that point forward. That i...

I would be interested to see if this will fit on my car. My exhaust is much like Keith's but in 2.5" instead of 3.

This is sad to hear. I made it for the first time this year and it was a great time. You out on a great show that will be missed. Thank you for all the hard work you put in to put on the show.

Re: 2.3L of fun

Yes I had equivalent to my weight in the car. I tried to set it up with the weight in the shape of myself so it accurately imitates me. The scales are PCR-2301. I bought 1 to start with to test it. I ran it up to 690lb a bunch of times and the only time I got more than .5lb variance was when the sca...

Re: 2.3L of fun

I have spent the last couple of days working on corner weighting my car. I have to say that it is not as easy as I thought it would be. I found a helpful site that in the end helped me a bunch. https://robrobinette.com/corner_weight_calc.htm I picked up a set of scales for $250. They are good for 70...

Re: Headlight fix

I have found on re-soldering pieces like this it is really important to remove ALL the old solder, clean off an residue and trim the wire back so there is no solder left on that. I bit of emery paper on the point you are soldering to right before you soldering so you are starting completely fresh. I...
