Re: 1974 Datsun 620 With A Twist

Got some more work done to the truck today, l18 is fully disassembled and figuring out what i'm going to do with it. It's in rough shape, crank is very scored and the cylinders aren't the best so probably going to end up junking it unfortunately. With my limited space and 2 engines already sitting a...

Went for some more rides and got a new background picture for the computer!

Also had an offer from a local car photographer to do some shoots of the car, definitely going to do that in the near future!

They came from Don at DP Racing, can't say anything but good things about the products and Don himself, real easy guy to get along with.

Re: 1971 2 Door 70s build

Finally got the Wilwoods on and took the car for a drive with a buddy, feels good to actually drive it again! https://vgy.me/DtyNfl.jpg Went to a little meet around town in a huge parking lot, all the young guys with new cars at one end and the older guys at the other end with their classics. We par...

Re: 1974 Datsun 620 With A Twist

Got the engine separated from the trans today and tore the old l18 down to a short block. Probably only keeping the open chamber a87 off of it, just not enough room around for all of it and have no use for another L series block laying around. The poor old clutch was quite a site, no materiel left a...

Re: 1974 Datsun 620 With A Twist

Not much of an update since I've been unexpectedly out of province the past week but did get some parts ordered for when I get back. Disc brake brackets because running the stock 4 wheel drums would be way too sketchy, discs, shocks, a clutch and headgasket for the l16, and getting the mystery engin...

Re: 510 2 door... diff posi question

Subaru STI R180s can be found with Torsen and clutch type mechanical LSDs in different ratios in different years. Since the topic came up....and this is a good place to post this. Has anyone here actually tried the Subi R180 Torsen diff in their Datsun? I received a phone call from a local 510 guy ...

1974 Datsun 620 With A Twist

So if you've been following my 510 build you'll know that I picked up a 620 almost 2 years ago now and never got a chance to do anything with it. Well I've finally got moved into the new place and have some free time so this project is kicking off! When I first found it, inside a guys small shed at ...

Thought I'd throw up some of the toys I'm getting to play with while away for work, a 40+ litre 1500hp V12 Was finishing up changing a hydraulic line in this pic. The cooling system and transmission/engine are all a easily changeable unit. https://vgy.me/qweMNN.jpg And since they weigh over 11 tons ...

Maybe look into older japanese wheels, I picked up this set of SSR MKII's and they're pretty close to what you're looking for. 14x7.5 -6 http://i947.photobucket.com/albums/ad318/DeathByGoat142/IMG_20170223_202131_772.jpg http://i947.photobucket.com/albums/ad318/DeathByGoat142/20170223_134255.jpg

Re: 1971 2 Door 70s build

Everything is all back together for the moment with a few small things left to do, just bleed the brakes, fill the diff, and reconnect the exhaust https://vgy.me/EYxJyx.jpg Also prepping the 620 to travel to my new place so I can finally work on it once I get back from Alberta. Engine choice has bee...
