Re: Rear crossmember bushings

Thanks TJ.
Bert, my diff mounts are okay and fitted easily with some threaded rod and washers I used for bike bearings. Just the crossmember I’m struggling with but maybe fixed now.

Re: Rear crossmember bushings

After spending some more time with it today, I'm at the conclusion that however it was fitted in my car is different from the others I've seen online. I have a flat washer on mine. I've gone over old pictures and that's how it was fitted before I took it apart. The ones I've seen like the red bushin...

Re: Rear crossmember bushings

Those images are a big help, thank you. I need to track down a copy of the book. The part numbered 81 I don't have, or on mine it was made up of 2 parts (possibly joined by the rubber that's separated) My stock bushings are flat across the bottom and the SuperPro ones are concave. I'll try find the ...

Rear crossmember bushings

Morning all. Yesterday I went to re fit my rear subframe with my new SuperPro bushes that I purchased a couple years ago. The old ones came out surprisingly easy, I forgot to note what order the metal (with tiny rubber groves) shims and washers came off but putting it back together I don't think the...

Re: Latest price of fuel

I feel your paint. We're taxed so much over here. 138.1p BGP per litre for 99octane. About 1.82 CAD. lower 95octane is about 1.20p

Re: New member from uk

Not too far from me. I'm from Brighton and now in East London/Essex. There's a guy in Norfolk restoring a 510 at the moment. Not sure on his quality of work though. All depends what you expect and how deep your pockets are. Mine need 2 rockers, 2 trunk drops, 2 lower rear 1/4 (before and after the w...

Re: New member from uk

Welcome to the 510 realm.

My advice would be not to SR20 it. The L series is an amazing sounding engine.

Where down south in little britain are you? Couple of us in and around London, Kent and Essex. None are currently road worthy though.

That's amazingly clean. Very impressed with how it came out of the tank. Do they do any kind of galvanising?

I love this build.
On the rear, you have the solid brake lines but have replaced the rubber parts with braided hoses. Are they off the shelf or did you make them yourself?

Very jealous. This year will be the first in almost 20 years that I won't be going to the mountains in the winter :(

Re: Spriso's SR20DET Bluebird Coupe Project

How did you remove the drip rail trim? Its the last part on my shell to remove before it goes off, I don't want to break it but it seems so brittle.
