Re: Spriso's SR20DET Bluebird Coupe Project

That's amazingly clean. Very impressed with how it came out of the tank. Do they do any kind of galvanising?

Re: "1800SSS" historic racing project

I love this build.
On the rear, you have the solid brake lines but have replaced the rubber parts with braided hoses. Are they off the shelf or did you make them yourself?

Re: snow day

Very jealous. This year will be the first in almost 20 years that I won't be going to the mountains in the winter :(

Re: Spriso's SR20DET Bluebird Coupe Project

How did you remove the drip rail trim? Its the last part on my shell to remove before it goes off, I don't want to break it but it seems so brittle.

Re: What did you do on your 510 today?

Not today, but I have finally primed my engine.

I did try to start it, but it didn't fire up, I think there is something wrong with the coil, or with my knowledge, couldn't get a spark either way.

There are a few in the UK. Welcome. But if you've left us for Vancouver Island, I don't blame you. I'd do it in a heart beat.

Re: Nissan Bluebird Coupe (JCCA Race Car)

I've had suspicions my suspension is from an AE86, the brakes look a lot like the ones from this model, the disks and pads match up and some 'modification 'has been done to the steering arms to space them from the 510's 80mm to the 86's 85mm https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4836/30986864177_869fe1029a...

WOW, very nice work. I can see how mine looks familiar to yours now and I am feeling better about getting things.

Re: Nissan Bluebird Coupe (JCCA Race Car)

I would have thought there would be places that rebuild drag links in the UK? I had mine rebuilt here in NZ in a couple of days. They convert to the non-drilled type of joint so you have to run nylocs but that's no biggie. Yes, valid point. I didn't even think about that. Thanks I'll look into it. ...
