Re: Assessing Amperage

Thanks everyone. Seems as though my fuse box is an odd-ball from what is noted in the DQ. Four...4!!! wires exiting from under the fuse box. Why is it that wiring usually takes the most punishment from previous owners of 510s? I'm hoping one of the extra leads is from factory installed A/C. I'm goin...

Re: Free to good home, local only

That's ingenuity right there. Too bad I'm not local. Someone should be able to use industrial-grade lines for something.

Assessing Amperage

Good evening Realm. The other day, I removed my fuse box for a vinegar bath. I may need to do another bath, as there is still some grime to be lifted. But, upon inspection, it looks as though I have had at least two fuses fail where fire resulted; melting portions of the fuse box. So, this got me th...

Re: Anyone know this Aus/NZ Race car?

I like that spoiler too. Especially the alternative way they mounted it. If the spoiler is reproduced, one should make sure the spoiler is placed far enough back so the trunk can still be opened. Oh, and did you try to decipher the telephone number on the for sale sheet? Looks like Jeremy or James?

Re: butters68 build

The 510 makes the Porsche look completely inadequate! Great car. Sorry about the situation forcing the sale. Such is life I guess. Wish I knew someone to direct your way...but I don't know many Datsun nuts aside from myself. Curious as to your thoughts about selling it on Bringatrailer.com? The site...

Re: The Red Baron

Still following your build with interest! Can't wait to see how the 240sx transmission mates to your engine. Also...could you post some pics of the aluminum drive shaft? How much did that set you back? Thanks for sharing the updates, I'm fortunate that you are performing a build that will be similar...

Repurposing Heater Core

So a few weeks ago I found two brass heater cores at an estate sale. For $10, I thought they were a bargain and I was sure I could find something to use them for. Aside from using them as a heater core (duh), what other purposes can you guys think of? I was pondering an oil cooler perhaps? Or maybe ...

Re: 280ZX Brake calipers sourcing problems

The 280zx stock setup will work fine for my needs. But, any insights into what manufacturer is most reputable? There are quite a few options to choose from when searching rockauto, autozone, o'reilly, etc... In my experience, remanufactured parts are a gamble...more so with some companies than other...

Re: 280ZX Brake calipers sourcing problems

I have the same issue. A few months ago I started comparing brands and wondering which would be best. Now, there is no debating because there simply are not options at this time. Hopefully this is just a lull in the supply cycle and it will return to normal. Otherwise, more expensive options may nee...

Hey there Keith, Byron, Robyn, and all other orators. Thanks all for sharing. I'm still making my way through the retelling of your great memories and experiences. It's discussion threads like this that set this site apart from others. Yes, we love our cars. But they are only one chapter in our nove...
