Re: And it's back!

For those who like to marvel at our place in society and evolution, check out this TED Talks: https://www.ted.com/talks/kevin_kelly_on_the_next_5_000_days_of_the_web Worth noting is that it was filmed in 2007! Also note the co-mingling of evolution and the blurring between the virtual world and real...

Re: Should I run 15's or 14's?

A while ago I emailed T3 and asked their recommendation on wheel size for their 280zx coilovers. There recommendation is 15x7+12. Likely, this is the same wheel size from the 280zx, which supplies the required hub assembly that is necessary for utilizing 280zx coilovers. I'm going to attempt it with...

Re: 2005 Volvo V50

Darn...I really like Volvos. We have a 2010 Volvo sedan. The inline turbo 5 cyl is truly unique in both its performance and sound. Volvo makes good stuff. Too bad that engine (both of them) were so abused.

Re: FS - MSD5 (edited)

Alright....my memory failed me when I posted this. But, this is actually a MSD5, not MSD6a. My apologies. Included are some photos. Asking $80 plus shipping, which shouldn't be too bad. Let me know if you have questions.

Re: Keith Law's complete TALES FROM THE GREAT ROLLING DYNO

So, I was able to dig up some photos from our trip a number of years ago to Ouray. We took these photos along the offroad trail up to Yankee Boy Basin. It is rated as a moderate offroad trail, but the Xterra handled it just fine. (I love the xterra by the way...very disappointed they discontinued.) ...

Re: Keith Law's complete TALES FROM THE GREAT ROLLING DYNO

hey there Keith, I currently hold a bachelors degree in social work, but I've gone about as far as I can professionally with that degree. So, about 4 years ago I started taking classes to earn a masters degree in business administration. I'm just about wrapped up, but I'm tired....2hr commute each d...

Re: Keith Law's complete TALES FROM THE GREAT ROLLING DYNO

Clint, having only spent a short while in Colorado (took in the Pikes Peak Hill Climb a couple years ago - crossed that off the bucket list), i was certainly reminded that this area is very much like the interior of British Columbia - dry and hot for the most part, with lots of beautiful valleys, r...

Re: Keith Law's complete TALES FROM THE GREAT ROLLING DYNO

Those trees are amazing! Here in Colorado, the largest pines I have found are maybe 75% of the circumference of the ones you guys are standing in front of. Those pines, found in a state park area, were huddled together in a small ravine with a good but slow-moving water supply. I think the ravine pa...

FS - MSD5 (edit)

Pulled the MSD6a out of my car and have no plans to use it. Worked when disconnected from the car. Otherwise, no testing or disassembly has occurred by me. I do not have install instructions or documentation. But, when I contacted MSD about wiring diagrams, they suggested searching their discussion ...

Re: The Red Baron

Aluminum drive shaft you say? Sounds like that needs to go onto my list as well. Seeing as how I was going to purchase the modified bell housing from Emerish anyways, I guess I could just throw an aluminum drive shaft on to the invoice as well. (Darn...that was way too easy to commit more money to t...

Re: The 70 510 project

I've got a wire tuck on my next winter project list so would love some more details and pics of what was done and where the hole in the fender was drilled. So Matt or Byron, any good pics or details/tips? Thanks! I concur. I would be extremely grateful if someone decided to write up a How-To with s...

Re: Keith Law's complete TALES FROM THE GREAT ROLLING DYNO

Hey there Keith...or Bert... I'm only on page 3 of this thread but felt compelled to say thank you for sharing so many of your great memories with anonymous shlubbs like myself. I particularly enjoyed the recollection of your childhood memories and how vehicles, in one way or another, played a role....
