Thanks datzenmike. I do remember this seal now. Ordered a set along with new caliper seals.

How about suggestions for paint?

Thanks.

Re: How to: Rejuvenate Calipers and Hubs

Rebuilding the calipers definitely seems like the best way to go. 3B's & datzunmike...great suggestions for the calipers. Thank you. I do plan on painting the hubs and calipers. Any suggestions on brand/type of paint? Any technique tricks? For hub grease, what brand has shown to be of quality? I...

Re: WTB Alternator lPulley

Hey Dean

I'll take a look at it tomorrow. Shouldn't be too much of a project to separate. I'll let you know either way tomorrow.

How to: Rejuvenate Calipers and Hubs

So I searched around a bit and couldn't find a topic that provides insights and techniques for refurbishing hubs and calipers. I was searching as I have sourced some 280zx components and would like them to be as near new as possible before installing them. Meaning, getting rid of crud, painting, and...

Re: Narrowing rear control arms

I think the work you guys are doing is fantastic. No doubt this project has been a journey of trial/error/lessons learned....I mean seriously, you guys are re-engineering a part that datsun determined to be optimal for mass production. Therefore, I doubt it would be an easy endeavor to do better.......

Re: WTB Alternator lPulley

I may have an extra (used) alternator sitting in the garage. That should work for you shouldn't it? Would come from either a 92 or 93 240sx, so either way, it should be an s13 alternator. Let me know if this would work for you. Shipping would be from Colorado.

Re: 2.3L of fun

I'm guessing the bucket mod is similar to fitting for the BMW ellipsoids. The wiring would be incredibly helpful though. Thanks in advance.

Re: 2.3L of fun

Interesting take on the 5.75" headlight. I like the idea though as it combines the highbeams into the lowbeam enclosure, freeing up two headlight ports for other use. I'm wondering how you adapted the headlight to the 510 buckets? Also, what about the wiring? Would you be willing to do a how-to...

Re: moved back to CO, time to raise Tweety back up

Welcome back to Colorado!! What part of town are you located in? There are a few of us 510'rs here in Colorado, but not many. I would be interested in the areas you plan on exploring in the 510. My Xterra is due for some offroad exploration.

Re: What did you do on your 510 today?

Reflected upon the stress of being scammed by a local mechanic while looking through some info regarding my engine rebuild. Ughh....I hate that guy. Anyways, at least I got a decent engine with some decent numbers out of it. Dyno attached.
