Re: U67 Cylinder Head Valves

A couple more things to consider with your U67 head rebuild. Don't forget to install bronze valve guides. Get rid of the old steel guides. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Valve-Guides-Intake-Exhaust-Set-of-4-fits-Datsun-Nissan-L16-to-L28-Bronze-/182435299451 Get ARP head studs to replace the stock head bol...

Re: U67 Cylinder Head Valves

When I had my U67 head rebuilt: Replaced all valve seats with steel 'cause one of the brass seats had come out. Replaced the 43mm intake valves with 44mm. Left the exhaust valves stock at 35mm. There isn't very much room to up-size the exhaust valve, but you can ask the folks rebuilding the head. Po...

Re: Offset camber plates - yes or no with Adj TC rods

If I may.
Will the "camber" plates you mention give you anything else but camber adjustment? If not, then the adjustable TC rods will give you adjustable "caster".
But if the new camber plates you mention also give you adjustable caster, then the adjustable TC rods may not be needed.

Have you tried Nissan Parts Deal? Maybe you can see if Nissan has the part(s) still available.

Re: Bike rides

Not many images of bike rides lately. And not to put down any of the images, they are all great stuff. So I thought I would post a video of a bike ride: Megavalance alpe d'heuz: https://youtu.be/jmy_of5mRTQ and this ride is of the 2018 winner for his class: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dpnh6yLj_OA

Re: "83 280ZX close ratio box and 3:90 differential

Tedman, thanks for the info. I do plan to upgrade to 15" wheels/tires which should help a little if I keep the 3:90 diff. My L20B has been worked on a little too. Head work to install new valve seats, guides, and larger intake valves. A pair of Weber 40DCOE carbs, intake manifold and head ports enla...

Re: "83 280ZX close ratio box and 3:90 differential

Mike, Sorry for a late reply. When I rebuilt the transmission, I counted the teeth on the gears. So it is a close ratio. Can't find the sheet with the numbers now. But if the 280zx had a 3:90 differential with a close ratio box, I'm guessing it did ok on the highway, but then again the engine had a ...

"83 280ZX close ratio box and 3:90 differential

Will this combination cause issues?
Hard to get around in town?
Should the differential be upgraded to a 4:11?
The 280ZX had a 3:90 differential, so....

My engine is an L20B with a WebCam 91 mild street cam and dual Weber 40DCOE. Soon to have a header and 2.25" exhaust.

Please advise.
