Re: Motor mount question

Get the OEM mounts from here: https://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/parts/nissan-insulator-mount~11220-a3500.html?Make=Nissan&Model=280ZX&Year=1983&Submodel=&Filter=() Item 1 in this picture: Capture.JPG I have also found that the motor mounts for an L20B raise the engine a bit to high for my liking. Wher...

Re: Alternative Modern Wiper Motor Conversions

Question about lubrication. What is the preferred grease for the plastic gears inside the transmission of these wiper motor assemblies? I have been looking at silicon grease of low viscosity. Any suggestions?

Re: Muffler selection. Magic solution needed.

I will be trying an Ermish Racing system in 2.25". With their headers too that has 2.5" collector. We shall see how loud it is or is not. May have to add a resonator if too loud. Or maybe a Thrush glass pack instead of a resonator. Thoughts? Also looking into v-band exhaust pipe connections. Any tho...

Still looking for the front core support.
Even a front clip from the shock towers forward. Rust and damage free.

Re: WTB: Factory tach lighting harness

I found this image of the subject wiring pigtail. SubHarness_Tach_Clock_Connector2[1].jpg Where I found the image mentions it plugs into the Tach/Clock connector which would provide a constant 12v to the tach. I could rewire such to be a switched 12v instead. However, if the turnsignal pigtail would...

Re: L motor thermo fans

See my posting in What Did You Do On Your 510 Today, page 95. I mounted twin 9" Spal fans to expanded metal and not the radiator. I didn't like the idea of the push-through plastic zip ties that would mount the fans directly to the radiator. So I mounted the fans to expanded metal to the front of th...

Re: My L20B build, piston cam and other questions

A couple things I did to my L20B. My U60 head dropped an intake valve seat so I got it repaired at a local speed shop http://stiegemeier.com/ . - Increased the size of the intake valve to 43mm, new SI valves ( http://sivalves.com/flipbook/2016-SI-Catalog.html#p=40 ) - Installed steel valve seats for...

Re: Factory Tachometer Install with EI - Resistorr Size for use with EI Dizzy

Maybe this will help. 6tach_wiring_72_sedan_std[1].gif Be sure to connect the tach power wire (green) from the tach to the switched ignition power to the heater blower/radio power. The ground (black) wire can go anywhere on the chassis. The two white wires that have been discussed go "before" the ba...

WTB: Pair of late model 280ZX front hubs

I'm looking for a pair of undamaged front wheel hubs from a late model (prefer 1983) 280ZX.

By undamaged, I mean no dents, dings, or chips around where the grease seal goes or where the dust cap goes.
