Re: My L20B build, piston cam and other questions

A couple things I did to my L20B. My U60 head dropped an intake valve seat so I got it repaired at a local speed shop http://stiegemeier.com/ . - Increased the size of the intake valve to 43mm, new SI valves ( http://sivalves.com/flipbook/2016-SI-Catalog.html#p=40 ) - Installed steel valve seats for...

Re: Factory Tachometer Install with EI - Resistorr Size for use with EI Dizzy

Maybe this will help. 6tach_wiring_72_sedan_std[1].gif Be sure to connect the tach power wire (green) from the tach to the switched ignition power to the heater blower/radio power. The ground (black) wire can go anywhere on the chassis. The two white wires that have been discussed go "before&qu...

WTB: Pair of late model 280ZX front hubs

I'm looking for a pair of undamaged front wheel hubs from a late model (prefer 1983) 280ZX.

By undamaged, I mean no dents, dings, or chips around where the grease seal goes or where the dust cap goes.

Re: WTB: fuel sender

Did you find your fuel tank sender?

If not, http://www.new-datsun-parts.com/datsun-510-parts-exterior1.html shows them in stock.

Scroll down a bit and they show both the sedan and wagon along with the sender locking ring and O-ring.

FS: '69 Roadster

Not mine, and may be beyond this forum, but if anybody is interested in a roadster, maybe this will work. It is just a few blocks away from my home. I can go look at it if someone needs more info. https://fastlanecars.com/vehicles/1522/1969-datsun-1600 If this in inappropriate for this forum, modera...

... and replace the brass valve seats with steel.

Find a machine shop that knows the Datsun heads to replace the seats with steel, and the valve guides with bronze. You can also up-size the intake valve a mm or two.

Re: Fuel Pressure Regulator

For my dual DCOE carbs, I went with the Aeromotive regulator. I didn't like the construction of Mr. Gasket or Holley, I wanted something of quality. So I went with Aeromotive. A bit pricey, but you can get rebuild kits for them too. I blocked off the 2nd outlet and got the appropriate AN fittings. I...

Re: Metric Fasteners

Have you tried the Nissan/Datsun dealer? You can look up the part number here: http://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsun/bluebird-1968-1973 Then transfer the part number into https://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/ Chances are the different fasteners used back in the day are still used today and you can order t...

Thanks, I will watch for that. Hopefully I won't have that issue, but I won't know until I try it.
